Sasha Kuzevski (born 20 July 2001), is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a right back for the Central Coast Mariners. [1]
Raised in Central Coast, Kuzevski joined with Central Coast Mariners in the Under-12s after impressing an Academy Director who was watching him play in a semi final in Pluim Park. [2] He had spells with Marconi and APIA Leichhardt before rejoining at the age of 16. [2] During his highschool years, he was selected for the Australia Schoolboy's team that flew to England in 2020. [2] In 2022, he won the premiership with both the Under 20s and NPL squad, he played in the grand final where he lost to St George City in extra time. [2] [3]
Kuzevski made his professional football debut off the bench for the Mariners in a 2-1 victory over Sydney FC on 17 December 2022. [4] He extended his contract with the Mariners which expires in 2024. [5]
Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It competes in the A-League Men, under licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The Mariners were founded in 2004 and are one of the eight original A-League teams. It is the first professional sports club from the Gosford region to compete in a national competition. Despite being considered one of the smallest-market clubs in the league, the Central Coast Mariners have claimed one A-League Championship from four Grand Final appearances and topped the table to win the A-League Premiership twice.
