Satgur Air Transport was an airline based at Roberts International Airport, near Monrovia, Liberia. [1] The airline, also called Satqar Air, began operations in 2004. [2]
Satgur operated Antonov AN-24s to Dakar, Abidjan, and Conakry. [3] The airline was criticized for failing to meet basic safety requirements in 2004, but it implied that its aircraft was airworthy by responding that it "will never put the lives of passengers at risk". [4]
In 2006 its operating certificate was revoked and it was added to the European Union list of banned air carriers. [5]

The de Havilland Canada DHC-7, popularly known as the Dash 7, is a turboprop-powered regional airliner with short take-off and landing (STOL) performance. Variants were built with 50–54 seats. Located near the town of Harbel in Margibi County, the single runway airport is about 35 miles (56 km) outside of the nation's capital of Monrovia, and as an origin and destination point is referred to as "Monrovia". Locally, it is often referred to as simply "RIA." The airport is named in honor of Joseph Jenkins Roberts, the first President of Liberia.
