Adil Satryaguna "Satrio" Hermanto (born June 29, 1984 in Jakarta) is an Indonesian racing driver.

Karting

He started racing in the Indonesian karting National Championship in 1994. [1]

Touring Car

In 1998, he became national champion in Timor One Make Race Division II. [1]

Formulas

In 1999 he took the 2nd place in the National Formula Asia and 3rd place in the 2000 Formula Ford Euro Asia Cup in Sentul.

He tested cars in Formula BMW (Team Meritus) at Sepang in 2005, and in Formula Renault (ART Grand Prix and Champ Motorsport) at Zhuhai in 2006. [1]

Hermanto won the Formula 3 Asia Promotion Class in 2006 with the Joson Formula 3 team. [2]

In 2007-08, Hermanto was the race driver for A1 Team Indonesia. [3]

Hermanto competed in two rounds of the 2009 British Formula Three season for Litespeed F3. [4]

Kumar Ram Narain Karthikeyan is an Indian racing driver from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He was the first Indian driver to compete in Formula One.

A1 Grand Prix (A1GP) was a "single-make" open-wheel auto racing series that ran from 2005 until 2009. It was unique in its field in that competitors solely represented their nation as opposed to themselves or a team, the usual format in most formula racing series. As such, it was often promoted as the "World Cup of Motorsport". The series was ratified by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), and races were held in the traditional Formula One off-season, the northern hemisphere winter. The nation-based A1GP concept was founded by Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum of Dubai, initially in 2003. After a successful first season of A1GP, it was announced on 29 September 2006 that Maktoum was to sell his position as chairman and director of A1GP. The transfer of his share in the organisation of A1 Grand Prix to RAB Capital was finalized in December 2006. Tony Teixeira took control of the series in 2006, and the series later liquidated after failing to host any races during the 2009–10 season.

The 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Netherlands was an A1 Grand Prix race, held at Circuit Park Zandvoort, Zandvoort, Netherlands. It was originally set to be the second race of the 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix season, but a delay in the build schedule of the new chassis forced the race at Mugello to be moved from the season opener. The same build delay meant that only seventeen of the twenty-three A1 teams participated in the race.
