Satyananda Mishra (born 1949),is the former Chief Information Commissioner of India. [1] He is the IAS officer of 1973 batch. [2] Satyananda Mishra has been appointed Chairman of the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Ltd(MCX).[ citation needed ]

Satyananda Saraswati,was a Sanyasi,yoga teacher and guru in both his native India and the West. He was a student of Sivananda Saraswati,the founder of the Divine Life Society,and founded the Bihar School of Yoga in 1964. He wrote over 80 books,including the popular 1969 manual Asana Pranayama Mudra Bandha.

The Right to Information (RTI) is an act of the Parliament of India which sets out the rules and procedures regarding citizens' right to information. It replaced the former Freedom of Information Act,2002. Under the provisions of RTI Act,any citizen of India may request information from a "public authority" which is required to reply expeditiously or within thirty days. Lalit Narayan Mishra was an Indian politician who served as Minister of Railways in the government of India from 1973 to 1975.
