Schizoid Lloyd is a Dutch progressive metal band from Haarlem.

Biography

The band was established in October 2007. They won the Rob Acda Award in Haarlem in 2008, [1] and that same year released their self-produced debut EP Virus, assisted by producer Oscar Hollemann (Ayreon, Within Temptation), which received a mostly positive review by 3VOOR12. [2]

In 2010, the band was selected for NH-Pop Live, [3] [4] the year-long talent competition for bands from North Holland, and released the EP Circus.

In 2011 they played at ProgPower Europe in Baarlo, The Netherlands, with Symphony X, Redemption and Long Distance Calling.

In August 2013, they did two shows in Norway. They headlined a show in Oslo at Betong, and they played the Brynerocken Festival in Bryne.

In 2014, they signed a contract with the label Blood Music (Fin).

In 2015, they returned to ProgPower Europe in Baarlo, The Netherlands, with Pagan's Mind, Soen, Enchant and headliner Leprous.

Daniel Gildenlöw Swedish musician and songwriter (born 1973)

Daniel Gildenlöw is a Swedish musician and songwriter. He is best known as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist for the progressive rock band Pain of Salvation. In the band, he is the main songwriter, lead singer, lead guitar player, and the mastermind behind each album's concept. He was also an official member of the band the Flower Kings but was forced to leave before their 2005 US tour because he was opposed to US-VISIT which requires submitting one's own biometric data first before entering the country.

ProgPower Europe

ProgPower Europe is a progressive metal festival held annually in the Netherlands since 1999. The next edition, the 22nd, will be held at Sjiwa in Baarlo from 1 – 3 October 2021. Notable headliners at the festival were Sons of Apollo, Evergrey and Caligula's Horse.

Tom Brislin is an American keyboardist, songwriter, singer, producer, and author. On December 19th, 2018, American rock band Kansas announced Brislin as the group’s current keyboardist; his playing, vocals, and prominent songwriting contributions are featured on the band’s most recently released studio album, The Absence of Presence (2020).

IZZ is a New York-based progressive rock band. Its music is inspired by such classic progressive groups as Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, and Renaissance and is often infused with pop hooks à la The Beatles. The band's name comes from the nickname of baseball relief pitcher Jason Isringhausen, who was once on the New York Mets, a team favored by John Galgano.

"Starless" is a suite by English progressive rock band King Crimson. It is the final track on their seventh studio album, Red, released on 6 October 1974.

MGMT American rock band

MGMT is an American pop and rock band formed in 2002 in Middletown, Connecticut. It was founded by multi-instrumentalists Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser. Alongside VanWyngarden and Goldwasser, MGMT's live lineup currently consists of drummer Will Berman, bassist Simon O'Connor, and guitarist and keyboard James Richardson.

Big Big Train

Big Big Train are an English progressive rock band formed in Bournemouth in 1990. The current line-up consists of band founder Greg Spawton, along with Nick D'Virgilio, David Longdon, and Rikard Sjöblom. Robin Armstrong joined the group for live performances in 2019. Until 2009, the band were active as a predominantly-studio project led by Spawton and co-founder Andy Poole, who departed the band in 2018, with changing line-ups and guest musicians. They have released twelve studio albums and three EPs.

Intwine

Intwine was a Dutch rock band formed in 2001 by five students of the Tilburg Rockacademie.

The Wondergirls are a rock supergroup and side project formed in 1999. In its initial, short lived incarnation, the band featured Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Ian Astbury of The Cult, Shannon Leto of Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jay Gordon and Ryan Shuck of Orgy and Julien-k, Doug Ardito of Puddle of Mudd, Ken Andrews of Failure, Martyn LeNoble of Porno for Pyros, and Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age. The Wondergirls recorded two songs, "Let's Go All the Way" and "Drop That Baby" featuring Ashley Hamilton.

Aeon Zen

Aeon Zen are an English progressive metal band formed in 2008, led by founding member Rich Gray. To date, they have been praised and heavily featured in the international music press, labelled by Classic Rock Magazine as 'a strong contender for best newcomer at the very, very least' and, additionally, as Progression Magazine’s selection for "debut album of the year".

Hot Chelle Rae American rock band

Hot Chelle Rae is an American pop rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2005. The band currently consists of Ryan Follesé, Nash Overstreet, and Jamie Follesé (drums). Their debut album, Lovesick Electric, was released on October 27, 2009. They gained widespread attention for their 2011 double platinum single, "Tonight Tonight". Another single, "I Like It Like That", peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.

The Wonder Years (band) American rock band

The Wonder Years is an American rock band from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, United States, that formed in July 2005. The band currently consists of Dan "Soupy" Campbell, Casey Cavaliere Matt Brasch Josh Martin Nick Steinborn and Mike Kennedy. They have released six full-length albums, two EPs, and several splits/compilations. The group is currently signed to Hopeless Records. Their name originates from a paper that lead vocalist, Dan 'Soupy' Campbell, read that was written by one of his after-school educators titled "The Wonder Years."

<i>Mulennium</i> 2010 live album by Govt Mule

Mulennium is a live album by American southern rock band Gov't Mule. It includes all three sets from the band's December 31, 1999/January 1, 2000 New Year's Eve show at the Roxy Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. The band had headlined the same venue exactly one year before, which resulted in their second live album Live... With a Little Help from Our Friends. Unlike that release, which came out within a year of the actual concert, Mulennium was not released until 2010.

Go Back to the Zoo, also known as GBTTZ was a Dutch pop rock band, formed in Nijmegen by brothers Cas (vocals) and Teun Hieltjes (guitar), and Bram Kniest (drum).

De Staat

De Staat is a Dutch alternative rock band, formed in Nijmegen in 2006. Their name translates to "The State".

Magic Man was a two-piece American major label electronic rock band from Boston, formed in 2010 by Alex Caplow (vocals) and Sam Lee. They later added high school friend Gabe Goodman (bass) and college friends Justine Bowe (keyboards) and Joey Sulkowski (drums), enabling the New England-based group to become a full-fledged band. They released the EP You Are Here in September 2013, followed by their first major full-length release, Before the Waves, on July 8, 2014, under Columbia Records. On July 10, 2015, Magic Man announced the departure of Goodman, Bowe, and Sulkowski, returning to their original two-piece lineup as they begin the writing process of their third studio album.

Silhouette is a progressive rock band from Utrecht, the Netherlands. So far, the band has released five albums. The music they play is influenced by band such as Genesis, Pink Floyd, Marillion, but also by more recent music. The Dutch Oor Pop Encyclopedie lists Silhouette under the category of progressive rock, other sources refer to their music as neo-progressive rock.

Easy Wanderlings

Easy Wanderlings is an independent band based in Pune, India, formed in 2015. The eight-member group, whose music displays ambient soul, pop and folk influences, has released one album and an EP with two tracks since its inception.
