Scott Campbell (born August 1995) [3] is a Scottish journalist and communications consultant. [4] He founded the news website Net News Daily at the age of 13 [5] before going on to launch a Scottish spin-off version, [6] and as a teenager subsequently worked for newspapers including The Daily Telegraph, [7] the Daily Mail [8] and the Daily Express. [9]
He is currently the editor-in-chief of Middle East Traveller, [10] a website focusing on the Arab market in Gulf Cooperation Council countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. [11]
Campbell was also a press photographer for Getty Images [12] and the Associated Press. [13]
He is a descendant of the pioneering British-German electrical engineer and inventor Magnus Volk. [14]
Campbell began his journalism career at the age of 13, writing for BBC News about the anniversary of the Sony Walkman from a teenager's perspective. [15] The article was covered extensively around the world, including in Wired magazine, [16] CNET [17] and NPR, where Campbell gave an interview to host Scott Simon about his experiences. [18]

The Arab Spring or the First Arab Spring was a series of anti-government protests, uprisings and armed rebellions that spread across much of the Arab world in the early 2010s. It began in Tunisia in response to corruption and economic stagnation. From Tunisia, the protests then spread to five other countries: Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain. Rulers were deposed or major uprisings and social violence occurred including riots, civil wars, or insurgencies. Sustained street demonstrations took place in Morocco, Iraq, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman and Sudan. Minor protests took place in Djibouti, Mauritania, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and the Moroccan-occupied Western Sahara. The 2011Bahraini uprising was a series of anti-government protests in Bahrain led by the Shia-dominant and some Sunni minority Bahraini opposition from 2011 until 2014. The protests were inspired by the unrest of the 2011 Arab Spring and protests in Tunisia and Egypt and escalated to daily clashes after the Bahraini government repressed the revolt with the support of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Peninsula Shield Force. The Bahraini protests were a series of demonstrations, amounting to a sustained campaign of non-violent civil disobedience and some violent resistance in the Persian Gulf country of Bahrain. As part of the revolutionary wave of protests in the Middle East and North Africa following the self-immolation of Mohamed Bouazizi in Tunisia, the Bahraini protests were initially aimed at achieving greater political freedom and equality for the 70% Shia population.

AirTag is a tracking device developed by Apple. AirTag is designed to act as a key finder, which helps people find personal objects. To locate lost items, AirTags use Apple's crowdsourced Find My network, estimated in early 2021 to consist of approximately one billion devices worldwide that detect and anonymously report emitted Bluetooth signals. AirTags are compatible with any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch device capable of running iOS/iPadOS 14.5 or later, including iPhone 6S or later. Using the built-in U1 chip on iPhone 11 or later, users can more precisely locate items using ultra-wideband (UWB) technology. AirTag was announced on April 20, 2021, made available for pre-order on April 23, and released on April 30.
The Abraham Accords are bilateral agreements on Arab–Israeli normalization signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, and Israel and Bahrain on September 15, 2020. Mediated by the United States, the announcement of August 13, 2020, concerned Israel and the United Arab Emirates before the subsequent announcement of an agreement between Israel and Bahrain on September 11, 2020. On September 15, 2020, the signing of the agreements was hosted by President Trump on the Truman Balcony amid elaborate staging intended to evoke the signings of historic formal peace treaties in the prior administrations. As part of the two agreements, both the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain recognized Israel's sovereignty, enabling the establishment of full diplomatic relations.
