Career

Piller/Segan/Shepherd

In 1999, Shawn Piller partnered with his father, Michael Piller, to form Piller Squared, an independent production company headquartered in Hollywood, California. After Michael’s death in 2005, the company merged with producer Lloyd Segan’s company The Segan Company to become Piller/Segan. The latest addition to the company and now third partner was Shepherd and the company became known as Piller/Segan/Shepherd.

Film Producer

Currently he is executive producing Sexy Evil Genius which stars Katee Sackhoff, Seth Green, Billy Baldwin, Michelle Trachtenberg and Harold Perrineau. [1]

Television Producer

Shepherd is a veteran writer/producer/showrunner with years of experience running network series, having overseen hundreds of hours of television. His list of credits include; The Equalizer; Quantum Leap; Miami Vice; [2] The Outer Limits; [3] To Have & to Hold; [4] L.A. Doctors; [5] Justice League of America; Haunted; [6] North Shore; [7] Tru Calling; [8] Angela’s Eyes; [9] and Reunion. [10]

Shepherd served as executive producer on the television series The Dead Zone, [11] starring Anthony Michael Hall, debuted June 16, 2002, on the USA Network [12] – it was the highest-rated premiere in cable history. The series, produced over a 7-year production cycle is now syndicated globally. [13]

Currently, Scott serves as an Executive-Producer on Syfy’s all new highly acclaimed one-hour drama series Haven [14] which stars Emily Rose(ER). The series was the first to be co-production between NBC Universal Global Networks, Syfy, and Shaw Media. Together they brought a combined audience of over quarter billion viewers. During its first season, Haven, based on the novella The Colorado Kid by Stephen King, was called “A must-see show” [15] by Entertainment Weekly. Syfy renewed Haven for a second season of 13 episodes, which will begin airing on July 15, 2011. [16]

The Colorado Kid is a mystery novel by American writer Stephen King, published by the Hard Case Crime imprint in 2005. The book was initially issued in one paperback-only edition by the specialty crime and mystery publishing house. King's next novel for Hard Case Crime was Joyland, which was published in June 2013. Hard Case Crime reissued The Colorado Kid in an illustrated paperback edition in May 2019.

Richard Herd American actor (1932–2020)

Richard Thomas Herd Jr. was an American actor, appearing in numerous supporting, recurring, and guest roles in television series and occasional film roles, from the 1970s to the 2010s. He was well known in the science fiction community for his role in the 1983 NBC miniseries V and 1984 sequel V: The Final Battle, as John, the Visitors' Supreme Commander. Other major roles in his career included recurring parts on the NBC series seaQuest DSV as Admiral William Noyce; on Star Trek: Voyager as Admiral Owen Paris, the father of helmsman Tom Paris; and as George Costanza's boss Matt Wilhelm on Seinfeld. Michael Rohl is a Canadian TV director and producer. He is of Volga German and Ukrainian descent. He has worked on Shadowhunters, Smallville, Supernatural, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Andromeda, Kyle XY, and Reaper as well as many other programs. He and ex-wife, writer Jan Derbyshire, have a daughter, actress Kacey Rohl.

Haven is a fictional town on the Maine coast, which is the center of events in the supernatural TV series Haven. It is not far by boat to Camden and the police send forensic material to Bangor. Images of Haven are mainly derived from the town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, which is one of the main locations where the series is filmed, along with the village of Chester, Nova Scotia, which provides many of the shop fronts used in the series.
