Scott Staffanson (born October 1,1960) is an American politician who is a former member of the Montana House of Representatives. He did not run for re-election in 2018,and his term ended on January 7,2019.
Staffanson was born on October 1,1960,in Richland County,Montana. [1] Growing up on his family’s farm,Staffanson went to college at Montana State University,graduating in 1982. [1]
Staffanson ran for election in the 2012 Montana House of Representatives election,but withdrew on June 5,2012,and joined David Halvorson’s campaign as its campaign manager. [2]
Staffanson was appointed to the Montana House of Representatives on August 19,2013,by a vote of Richland and Dawson County lawmakers after the death of David Halvorson. [2]
Staffanson ran unopposed in the Republican Party primary and won the election with a margin of almost 60% of the vote. [2]

William Franklin Shuster is an American politician and lobbyist who served as the U.S. representative for Pennsylvania's 9th congressional district from 2001 to 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party,and is a son of former Congressman Bud Shuster.
The 1988 United States Senate elections were elections for the United States Senate. Held on November 8,1988,the 33 seats of Class 1 were contested in regular elections. In spite of the Republican victory by George H. W. Bush in the presidential election,the Democrats gained a net of 1 seat in the Senate. 7 seats changed parties,with 4 incumbents being defeated. The Democratic majority in the Senate increased by one to 55–45.

From 2015 to 2017,he served as Senate majority leader. Rosendale was elected Montana state auditor in 2016 and held that position from 2017 to 2020. Rosendale ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014 and for the U.S. Senate in 2018. He was elected to represent Montana's at-large congressional district in 2020. After Montana regained its second House seat in the 2020 census,Rosendale was elected to represent the new 2nd congressional district in 2022.
