Scriptures is an instrumental collective from Seattle, Washington. The outfit performs ambient, post-rock music with a focus on layered melodies and shifting tones. The band formerly performed under the name This Is a Process of a Still Life.
Formed in the Spring of 2003 as This Is a Process of a Still Life, the group included Jason Ward (bass), David Totten (guitar, keyboards), Scott Kennedy (guitar, keyboards), Baine Craft (percussion), and Jeff Forrest (guitar, keyboards). Other members include Ben Rouner (guitar, keyboards), Grier Phillips (rhodes, organ), Gary Jimmerson (percussion, melodica), Burke Jam (guitar, samples), and Bob Martin (percussion). During the fall of 2003, the unit began recording their first album in Portland, Oregon. Their follow-up record, Light, was recorded in 2005 in Missoula, Montana.
In 2006 the group relocated to Seattle Washington In 2009, the band has officially changed their name to Scriptures.
The band has toured the West Coast of the United States extensively and has shared stages with several notable acts including Xiu Xiu, Maserati, Tara Jane O'Neil (Papa M, The Sonora Pine, Retsin, Rodan), Cex, The Drift, Early Day Miners, Nice Nice, Earth, Cloud Cult, Pontiak, Pallbearer, and Bell Witch.

Belle and Sebastian are a Scottish indie pop band formed in Glasgow in 1996. Led by Stuart Murdoch, the band has released twelve studio albums. They are often compared with acts such as the Smiths and Nick Drake. The name "Belle and Sebastian" comes from Belle et Sébastien, a 1966 children's book by French writer Cécile Aubry adapted from a television series of the same name. Though consistently lauded by critics, Belle and Sebastian's "wistful pop" has enjoyed only limited commercial success.
The Flower Kings are a Swedish progressive rock band formed in 1994 by guitarist and singer-songwriter Roine Stolt. The group began as Stolt's touring band to support his third solo album The Flower King. They continued performing after the tour and have gone on to become one of the most prolific studio recording units in progressive rock, having released over twenty hours of music spread across fifteen studio albums. Their music is similar to early symphonic progressive rock groups such as Yes, marked by sharp dynamic changes, polyrhythms, heavy bass, vocal harmonies, abstract and occasionally nonsensical lyrics, and extended song lengths.
