Scuola Italiana Design (Italian School of Design, SID) was the first higher education Institute established in the Northeast of Italy.
Scuola Italiana Design was established in 1991 in Padua. Since 2001 it has been the educational department of the Scientific and Technological Park "Galileo".
Its educational program consists mainly of a three-year Study Plan in Creative Design, a one-year Master in Creative Design, a series of seminars, workshops and brief courses.
The Institute created a workshop in which participants develop concept designs on the Croatian seaside, named "SID Summer Workshop".
Educational collaborations are underway with other European institutes, such as Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts (Lithuania), Kielce Technology Park [1] (Poland) and MSTUM (Russia).
Scuola Italiana Design is a member of ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale) and translated into 'Italian the Code of Ethics of designers for ICSID' (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design). [2]

The International Council of Design is an international organisation representing the professions of design. The Council was founded in London in 1963 and celebrated its 50th anniversary on 27 April 2013. The Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) is a Milan-based postgraduate training institution focused on project disciplines in the areas of design and visual communication. The postgrad offering of SPD includes yearly masters in industrial design, interior design, transportation and car design, visual design, "Web Design and Multimedia". Teaching is organized in intensive workshops, labs, theoretical study, seminars and activities in the field; courses end with a professional internship.

The Garden of Archimedes is a museum for mathematics in Florence, Italy. It was founded on March 26, 2004 and opened its doors to the public on April 14 of that year. The mission of the museum is to enhance public understanding and perception of mathematics, to bring mathematics out of the shadows and into the limelight. It has been compared to the National Museum of Mathematics in New York City, the only museum in North America devoted to mathematics.
