Sean Clancy (born 30 December 1988) is an Irish Muay thai fighter and the reigning WBC Muaythai Super Lightweight World Champion.
He is the former WBC Muaythai Super Lightweight International champion, [2] the former Cage Muaythai Super Lightweight champion and ISKA Irish Welterweight champion. [3] He was the 2019 WBC Muaythai "Male Fighter of the Year". [4]
He is currently signed with ONE Championship and will compete in their Bantamweight Muaythai division. [5] [6]
Fighting in the renowned Lumpini Stadium, Clancy took on Matt Sheady. He won the fight by a second round TKO, after a series of knees and elbows.[ citation needed ]
During Cage Kings' inaugural event, Clancy fought against his fellow Irish Nak Muay Paul Budden. Clancy won the fight by a unanimous decision. [7]
Clancy stepped in as a late notice replacement to face the multi divisional Lumpini Stadium champion Saenchai during THAI FIGHT Samui 2016. [8] Clancy lost in the third round, by TKO. [9]
Clancy fought for the Caged Muaythai Super Lightweight tile against Matthew Bune during CMT 10. Cage Muaythai differed from the usual muaythai fights in that the competitors fought in the 4 oz gloves, typically used in mixed martial arts, instead of the larger boxing gloves. [10] Clancy won the fight by a fourth round TKO. [11]
In 2018 Clancy participated in the K-1 Super Lightweight Tournament, being scheduled to face Jun Nakazawa in the tournament quarter finals. [12] Clancy lost the quarter-final bout, losing by TKO in the very first round of the fight. [13]
Sean Clancy fought against Roy Willis for the International Super Lightweight WBC Muaythai title during Lion Fight 52. Clancy won the fight by split decision, with two judges scoring in his favor (48-47, 49-48) and one judge scoring the fight for Willis (50-45). [14] [15]
Following his capture of the WBC Muaythai International title, Clancy was given an opportunity to fight for the World Super Lightweight title as well. He was scheduled to face Alessandro Sara at the Neptune Stadium in Cork. [16] [17] Clancy won the fight through a unanimous decision. [18]
He afterwards fought during Lion Fight 60 against Ramesh Habib for the Lion Fight World Super Lightweight title. He was unable to mount a comeback after being dropped in the first round, and lost a unanimous decision. [19]
Clancy's first fight in ONE Championship was against Pongsiri P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym, during ONE Championship: A New Breed 2. [20] Clancy lost a unanimous decision. [21]
Clancy faced Tawanchai P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym at ONE Championship: Dangal on 15 May 2021. [22] He lost the bout via head kick knockout at the beginning of the third round. [23]

Suphachai Saepong, known professionally as Saenchai, is a Thai professional Muay Thai fighter and former professional boxer. He is a former six-time Lumpinee Stadium champion across four divisions as well as the 1998 and 2008 Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year. Nicknamed the "Ultimate Boxer from Sarakham", he is often regarded as one of the greatest and most talented fighters in the history of Muay Thai.
Kevin "The Soul Assassin" Ross is an American retired Muay Thai fighter and kickboxer. He is also a former Bellator Kickboxing Featherweight champion. Among Ross' achievements are the Super light weight WBC International championship Title, the Welterweight WBC USA National championship Title, the FIDAM Welterweight championship of Mexico and the United States Muay Thai Federation Welterweight champion. He currently trains at Combat Sports Academy in Dublin, California.
Thanakorn Pawachart, known professionally as Jomthong Chuwattana, is a Thai professional Muay Thai fighter, kickboxer, and former boxer. He is a five-time Rajadamnern Stadium champion across four divisions, the 2006 Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year, and also challenged for a WBA World Super Featherweight title in boxing.

He is former four-time Lumpinee Stadium champion across three divisions, as well as the 2002 Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year, who was famous in the 2000s and 2010s. Nicknamed "Fierce Tiger of Khmer", he was especially known for his powerful right kicks and is now often regarded amongst the greatest fighters in the history of Muay Thai.
Nopadon Darouphan, known professionally as Petchmorakot Petchyindee, is a Thai professional Muay Thai fighter, kickboxer, and boxer. He is the current Rajadamnern Stadium Middleweight Champion and a former two-division Lumpinee Stadium champion. He is especially known for his slicing elbows and devastating knees.
