Sean Morrell (born 23 August 1986) is a Fijian international rugby union player.
He played with the Ponsonby RFC winning the Gallaher Shield [1] and also for King Country in the Heartland Championship. [2] In 2011 he joined Romanian club CSM Baia Mare. [3]
He won only one cap for Fiji, against Japan in the Pacific Nations Cup in June 2009. [4] Next month he was selected for the Fiji sevens team [5] and won gold at the 2009 World Games. [6]
The Fiji national rugby sevens team has competed in the World Rugby Sevens Series, Rugby World Cup Sevens and the Olympics. Fiji won the gold medal in the inaugural rugby sevens at the Summer Olympics in 2016 in Brazil, the country's first Olympic medal in any event, and repeated as Olympic champions in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, defeating New Zealand. Thus Fiji is the sole nation to have won Olympic gold in the sport. They are the only country in the world to have won the Sevens Treble, the three major achievements in Sevens. They have won multiple World Rugby Sevens Series and Rugby World Cup Sevens.
Rugby union is a moderately popular team sport played in Romania with a tradition of more than 100 years. In past eras, the game has been more popular, and Romanian national teams had been relatively highly ranked in world rugby, but their standing declined since the dawn of professionalism and the end of communism. The Romanian men's national team are currently 20th in the World Rugby Rankings as of 19th March 2023.

CSM Știința Baia Mare is a professional Romanian rugby union club from Baia Mare, which plays in the Liga Națională de Rugby, the first division of Romanian rugby. In recent times they have been the most successful rugby union team in Romania, achieving eight championship titles and three of the Romanian cups, with the latest title being achieved in the 2022 season. CSM Baia Mare is recently one of the main players providers for the Romanian national team and its youth academy is one of the best in Romania.
