Sean Paul Morris (born September 10, 1983, in Marshfield, Massachusetts) is a professional lacrosse player with the Boston Cannons of the Major League Lacrosse, and the Boston Blazers in the National Lacrosse League. He founded Laxachusetts, Legacy Lacrosse, BostonLax.net and has recently launched TheLocker.com.

Amateur career

Morris played collegiate lacrosse at University of Massachusetts. Morris initially enrolled at Rutgers University, but transferred and played his four years of eligibility at UMass. [1] Morris lead the Minuteman to the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship game in 2006. He was awarded with back to back Eastern College Athletic Conference Player of the Year, and named New England Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006. Morris was also named as one of the five finalist for the Tewaaraton Trophy, awarded to the awarded "Most Outstanding" collegiate lacrosse player in the United States, in 2005 & 2006. In his Senior year, Sean was chosen for Faces in the Crowd by Sports Illustrated for leading the country in points per game.

In high school, Morris was a star running back. Morris was also recognized with the "Al Bundy Award" in 1999 Scoring 5 Touchdowns in one High School Game.

Professional career

Major League Lacrosse

Morris was drafted in the First Round (3rd overall) in the 2006 MLL Collegiate Draft by the Major League Lacrosse's Chicago Machine. He played with the Machine during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. He was selected to the MLL All Star Team in 2006. [2] In 2008, Morris was traded to his hometown Boston Cannons. [3]

National Lacrosse League

Morris was selected by the Colorado Mammoth in the 2007 National Lacrosse League entry draft. [4] Following the 2008 NLL expansion draft, Morris was traded with Casey Cittadino to the Boston Blazers for Brian Langtry. [5] However, before the 2008 NLL season began, the Blazers announced that they would not play in the 2008 season. [6] A dispersal draft was held, and Morris was chosen in the second round by the San Jose Stealth. [7] In his Stealth debut, Morris recorded four points (2 goals, 2 assists), [8] and was awarded "Rookie of the Week" honors. [9]

Team USA

Morris was selected by the Team USA Indoor in the 2011 for World Games in Prague, Czech Republic. Finished 3rd on the Team in points while earning a bronze medal. Morris was selected by the Team USA Outdoor in the 2007 to play reigning National Champion Duke Blue Devils at Disney Wild World of Sports.

Josh "Shooter" Sanderson is a Canadian former professional lacrosse player. Sanderson played 19 seasons in the National Lacrosse League including nine with the Toronto Rock.

Athan Iannucci Canadian lacrosse player

Athan Iannucci is a professional lacrosse player. He played collegiate lacrosse at Hofstra University. Iannucci plays professional lacrosse for the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. He was a member of the now defunct St. Regis Indians of the Ontario Lacrosse Association's Senior-A Major Series Lacrosse. He plays in the summer months for the WLA Langley Thunder.

Boston Blazers Former NLL professional box lacrosse team

The Boston Blazers were an indoor lacrosse team in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The Blazers were based in Boston, Massachusetts, and began play in the 2009 NLL season. They are also an AAU basketball team based out of Massachusetts.

Matt Danowski

Matt Danowski is a former professional lacrosse Attackman who played in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) for 12 seasons. He finished his career with the Chrome Lacrosse Club, announcing his retirement on February 22, 2021. He previously played for the Chesapeake Bayhawks, Charlotte Hounds, New York Lizards, and the New Jersey Pride. Danowski also spent four seasons playing professional indoor lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League for the Colorado Mammoth, Rochester Knighthawks and Philadelphia Wings. He was a four-time college All-American at Duke University, won the Tewaaraton Trophy in 2007, and was the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer at the time of his graduation with 353 points. He is now fifth all-time on that list behind Lyle Thompson (400), Pat Spencer (380), Connor Fields (364), and Rob Pannell (354).

Maxwell Oren Seibald is a former professional lacrosse player for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse. He played midfield position. He graduated in 2009 from Cornell University. He is a former Tewaaraton Award winner, and two-time Team USA player. He played for Team Israel in 2018.

Paul Rabil, is an American former professional lacrosse player and co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League. He formerly played for the Cannons Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League, the Boston Cannons and the New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse.

Ben Rubeor is the current Head Coach for Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League. Rubeor previously played for the Chesapeake Bayhawks & Long Island Lizards in Major League Lacrosse. He was one of the nation's top collegiate lacrosse players at the University of Virginia. Ben also currently serves as the men's varsity head lacrosse coach and assistant admissions director at Thayer Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts.

Frank Resetarits is a lacrosse player from Hamburg, New York. As a high school player Resitarits ranks in the top three players all-time for points in a career. He played forward for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League and attack for the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse. He was drafted fifth overall in the 2007 NLL entry draft by the San Jose Stealth.

Greg "GD" Downing is a professional lacrosse player with the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse and with the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. He was selected to participate in the 2008 and 2009 MLL All-Star Games.

Wes Green is a professional lacrosse player with the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse and the Washington Stealth of the National Lacrosse League. Originally from the West Torrens Lacrosse Club in Adelaide, South Australia, Green played on the Australian National Team in the 2006 World Games in London. Wes Green played his college ball at Adelphi University where he Earned several honours during his senior season (2006) at Adelphi, including: USILA Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award, USILA Lt. Col. J.I. Turnbull Award, First Team All-American, ECC Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, ECC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Inside Lacrosse Magazine First Team Preseason All-American. Green now plays in the Victorian state league and coaches at Williamstown Lacrosse Club in Melbourne. He played 14 games in 2010 for Williamstown in the State league and scored 37 goals with a high scoring game of 9 goals.

Jim Borell is a professional American lacrosse player who has played with the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League and the Los Angeles Riptide in Major League Lacrosse. Borell was signed by the San Jose Stealth of the NLL on March 18, 2009 and is a graduate of University of Maryland.

Brett Queener is an American lacrosse player. He is currently a member of the Chrome Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League and was selected by the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He never played for them. Queener is best known as a field lacrosse goaltender, however he plays an offensive position in indoor box lacrosse. Queener is currently the head coach of the Gulf Coast High School varsity lacrosse team.

Dillon Ward Canadian lacrosse player

Dillon James Ward is a professional lacrosse player (goalie) for the Colorado Mammoth in the National Lacrosse League and Waterdogs Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League.
