Their major-label debut Come Clean has sold over five million copies. They have released an extended play, an independent album and six studio albums, with their latest being Ubiquitous in September 2023. Vocalist and guitarist Wes Scantlin has served as the only consistent member throughout the band's history.

WWE Backlash is a professional wrestling event that is produced by the American company WWE, the world's largest professional wrestling promotion. It is broadcast live and has been available through pay-per-view (PPV) since 1999 and via livestreaming since 2016. Since premiering in 1999, 18 events have been held, with its most recent 18th edition occurring at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico on May 6, 2023. With the exception of the events held from 2016 to 2020, the concept of the show is based around the backlash of WWE's flagship event, WrestleMania.
Earl William Hebner is an American retired [[professional wrestling referee] He is best known for his time as senior referee for the World Wrestling Federation from 1988 to 2005. Hebner played a prominent role in the inaugural The Main Event card in 1988, in which André the Giant controversially defeated Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, as well as the infamous "Montreal Screwjob" during the main event of the 1997 Survivor Series. He also participated in a number of storylines, including feuds involving The McMahon–Helmsley Faction and The Alliance. Hebner was also the senior referee for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) from 2005 to 2017, and was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2015.

The band includes traits of music styles, such as country and acoustic, in addition to their post-grunge and alternative rock foundation. Nine of their singles have entered the top ten of the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, including four songs that peaked at number one: "Bad Girlfriend", "Lowlife", "Rx (Medicate)" and "History of Violence".
WWE Diva Search is an American talent competition that was produced and held by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The first winner was Jaime Koeppe, but she did not receive a contract like subsequent winners of the contest. Other winners included Christy Hemme, Ashley Massaro, Layla El, Eve Torres and Eva Marie. In addition to the winners of the yearly contest, WWE has hired several contestants as Divas, the name that WWE gave at the time to the female performers. As of 2021, Maryse Ouellet is the sole remaining female talents signed with WWE to come from the contest. There were many failed attempts at bringing back the competition over the years following the cancellation of the 2008 season, and was at one point going to return in 2019 under the new name Superstar Search, but those plans were scrapped.

The 2009 Backlash was the 11th Backlash professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brand divisions. The event took place on April 26, 2009, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. It was the final Backlash held until 2016, as in 2010, Backlash was replaced by Extreme Rules. The concept of the pay-per-view was based around the backlash from WrestleMania 25—despite the event's revival in 2016, the 2009 event would be the final Backlash to carry the post-WrestleMania theme until the 2021 event.

They have released multiple studio albums, Time to Break the Spell (2006), Against the Grain (2009), Divide the Blackened Sky (2012), and an EP Life Support Part 1 (2013). Their fourth studio album, Decade, was released on January 29, 2016. The fifth and sixth, Decade II:Rock & Acoustic and Decade III:Demos & Rarities were released on August 31, 2018. Their seventh album Quarantine Collaborations was released on December 17, 2021, and on December 16, 2022, their eighth and latest album release Manifestations .
Against the Grain is the second album from The Veer Union. The album was released by Universal Motown on April 21, 2009. Three singles were released from the album, "Seasons", "Youth of Yesterday", and "Darker Side of Me".
"Rise Up" is the second single from Cypress Hill's eighth studio album, Rise Up. It features guitarist Tom Morello. The song is very similar in style to Tom Morello's work with Rage Against the Machine.
Divide the Blackened Sky is the third album from hard rock band The Veer Union. The majority of the album was self-produced, written and recorded by the band. Lyrically, the album focuses on the band struggling with and overcoming adversity, namely, being dropped from their major record label contract after their prior album, Against the Grain. One single from the album, "Bitter End", was released in March 2012.
Time to Break the Spell is the debut album from Canadian rock band The Veer Union. The album was first self-released by the band, in 2006, when the band was still under their original name, "Veer". The album was reissued under their current name, The Veer Union, on August 9, 2011.

It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event took place on May 8, 2022, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, and was the third Backlash held at this venue after the 1999 and 2009 events. It was also the second and final Backlash held under this name, after the previous year's event, as the following year, the event reverted to its original name. This was also the last Backlash held in the Continental United States.The concept of the 2022 event was based around the backlash from WrestleMania 38.
