The Seattle Rainmakers were a professional ultimate team in the Western Division of Major League Ultimate. Their inaugural season was 2013. They played in the MLU until it suspended operations in 2016.

History

The Rainmakers were founded along with 7 other teams in 2012 for the inaugural 2013 season of Major League Ultimate. In 2013 they were second in the MLU West after the San Francisco Dogfish with a record of 8-2. [1] In 2014 the Rainmakers were third in their conference with a 4-6 record. [2] In 2015 they had the second best win-loss record at 5-5 [3] in the West, after the Portland Stags, but they beat Portland in the MLU West Conference Championship game [4] and played the Boston Whitecaps in Philadelphia for the MLU Championship game, which Boston won. [5]

Everett Silvertips ice hockey team

The Everett Silvertips are an American major junior ice hockey team currently members of the U.S. Division in the Western Conference of the Western Hockey League (WHL). The team is based in Everett, Washington, and joined the WHL as an expansion team for the 2003–04 season. The team name comes from the silvertip bear. The team plays at Angel of the Winds Arena, a $71.5 million multipurpose complex built in 2003 that seats 8,300 for hockey. Bellingham Slam

The Bellingham Slam are a semi-professional basketball team that formerly competed for seven seasons in the International Basketball League. The Vancouver Whitecaps FC women are a Canadian women's soccer team founded in 2001 and a part of the greater Vancouver Whitecaps FC club. Originally called the Vancouver Breakers in 2001–02, the team was a member of the USL W-League, the second tier of women's soccer in the United States and Canada, from 2003 to 2012. The team won the 2004 and 2006 championships, and was runner-up in 2001 and 2010.

The 1979 NBA World Championship Series was the championship series played at the conclusion of the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s 1978–79 season. The Western Conference champion Seattle SuperSonics played the Eastern Conference champion Washington Bullets, with the Bullets holding home-court advantage, due to a better regular season record. The SuperSonics defeated the Bullets 4 games to 1. The series was a rematch of the 1978 NBA Finals, which the Washington Bullets had won 4–3.

Stephanie Renee "Steph" Cox, is an American professional soccer player and coach who plays as a defender for OL Reign in the National Women's Soccer League. She has been the head coach of the girls' soccer team at Gig Harbor High School since 2016.

2010 Northern Illinois Huskies football team American college football season

The 2010 Northern Illinois Huskies football team represented Northern Illinois University in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Huskies competed in the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They were led by head coach Jerry Kill in his third season at NIU. The Huskies finished the season 11–3, 8–0 in MAC play to win the West Division Title, but lost to Miami (OH) in the MAC Championship Game. They were invited to the Humanitarian Bowl where they defeated Fresno State 40–17.

Dubuque Fighting Saints

The Dubuque Fighting Saints are a Tier I junior ice hockey team playing in the United States Hockey League (USHL) and are based in the city of Dubuque, Iowa, on the banks of the Mississippi River at the border intersects of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Home games are played at the Mystique Community Ice Center. Home and away games are broadcast live on KIYX, with Jack Milewski handling play-by-play with select games televised locally each season on KCRG-TV channel 9.2.

American Ultimate Disc League Sports league

The American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) is a professional ultimate frisbee league in North America. The AUDL was founded by Josh Moore in 2010 and its inaugural season began in April 2012 with eight teams. Regular season games are played April through July. The playoffs consist of three rounds: divisional wild card round, division championships, and finally culminating in a final four style showcase known as AUDL Championship Weekend in August. The winner of each division's championship game advances to Championship Weekend, with semifinals on Saturday and the championship game played on Sunday.

Philadelphia Spinners

The Philadelphia Spinners were a professional ultimate team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were founded in 2012 by Katrel Kelly and David Fitzgerald as a team in the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL), but then moved to Major League Ultimate (MLU). They played in the MLU until the league was suspended in 2016. Their home stadium was Carey Stadium at Germantown Academy.

Kevin Pangos Canadian basketball player

Kevin Joseph Pangos is a Canadian professional basketball player for FC Barcelona Lassa of the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He spent his college basketball career playing for the Gonzaga Bulldogs of the West Coast Conference. He was named the 2015 WCC Player of the Year, as well as a third-team All-American by Sporting News. Pangos has also represented Canada on the international stage. He earned an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2018.

Major League Ultimate

Major League Ultimate (MLU) was a North American semi-professional Ultimate league from 2013 to 2016. It was composed of eight member teams, seven in the United States and one in Canada. It was formed in 2012, and began its inaugural season in April, 2013. The season concluded with championship games for the Western and Eastern divisions and a cross-divisional championship game.

Portland Stags

The Portland Stags were an American semi-professional ultimate team based in Portland, Oregon. The Stags competed as part of Major League Ultimate (MLU) in the league's Western Conference until the league suspended operations in 2016. The team was one of the original eight teams that formed the MLU in 2013. The team saw the post-season three times and in 2016 saw its first appearance at the MLU Championship.

The Boston Whitecaps, also referred to as the Caps, were a semi-professional ultimate team, who competed in Major League Ultimate (MLU) until operations were suspended in 2016. They were one of the original 8 Major League Ultimate teams.

The 2014 Major League Soccer season was the 102nd season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and Canada, the 36th with a national first-division league, and the 19th season of Major League Soccer. This season featured 19 total clubs, each playing 34 matches during the regular season.

The 2013 Major League Ultimate season was the inaugural season for the league. The season began on April 20, 2013 and concluded on July 13, 2013 with the Championship between the Boston Whitecaps and the San Francisco Dogfish. Each team played a 10-game schedule. This season had the first and only team, to date, to go completely undefeated as the Boston Whitecaps went 12-0, including playoffs.

Boston Renegades (WFA)

The Boston Renegades are a tackle football team in the Women's Football Alliance. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, the Renegades play their home games at Harry Della Russo Stadium in Revere, Massachusetts.

The 2016 Major League Ultimate season was the fourth and final season for the frisbee league. The eight teams were split into two regional conferences, with each team playing a 10-game schedule, including some cross-divisional matches. The top two teams in each conference advanced to the next round, where they competed against the other qualified team from their conference. The winners of these matches advanced to the final to compete for the MLU Championship. On July 16, Philadelphia Spinners won the final 14–11 against Portland Stags to become the 2016 MLU Champions.
