Smoke Boys (formerly known as Section Boyz) is an English rap group based in South London started by UK rap artist Ghost. On September 25, 2015, the group's second mixtape Don't Panic [1] entered at number 36 independently, making their first UK Albums Chart entry. [2] On 4 November 2015, they won Best Newcomer at the MOBO Awards.

MOBO Awards

The MOBO Awards stands for "Music of Black Origin" and was established in 1996 by Kanya King and Andy Ruffell. The MOBO Award show is held annually in the United Kingdom. Since its inception in 1996, the MOBO Awards has become one of Europe’s biggest and most influential music award ceremonies, celebrating excellence in black music in the UK and internationally for more than 20 years in the musical fields of hip-hop, grime, RnB, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music. The MOBO Awards are seen as a UK equivalent to the BET Awards and Soul Train Awards.

After signing to 679 Recordings, Kano released his debut studio album Home Sweet Home (2005), which peaked at number 36 on the UK Albums Chart and featured the top 30 singles "Typical Me" and "Nite Nite". This was followed by the album London Town (2007), featuring Kano's highest-charting single "This is the Girl" featuring Craig David. Through Bigger Picture Music, Kano released his third and fourth albums, 140 Grime St (2008) and Method to the Maadness (2010), both which charted in the top 50.

Chanelle Shiloh Calica, better known by her stage name Shystie, is an English rapper-songwriter and actress. Her mother was born and raised in Barbados and her father born and raised in Grenada, making her heritage West-Indian. She grew up in Hackney, East London. Shystie started gaining fame in 2003 with her white label response to Dizzee Rascal's "I Luv U" and a tour with Basement Jaxx, The Streets and 50 Cent, which led to her being signed by major label Polydor. She is also the leading actress in the television series Dubplate Drama.

Alonzo Mathis, better known by his stage name Gorilla Zoe is an American rapper best known for being a member of the rap group Boyz N Da Hood. His solo debut album Welcome to the Zoo came out in 2007. His next two albums, Don't Feed Da Animals and King Kong, were released in 2009 and 2011. Nathaniel Thompson, better known professionally as Giggs, is an English rapper from Peckham, South East London. He released his debut studio album Walk in da Park in 2008 and released a follow-up album Let Em Ave It the following year. Giggs released his third studio album When Will It Stop in October 2013. In 2016, Giggs released his fourth album Landlord, which entered and peaked at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart – becoming the highest-charting album of his career. His latest mixtape Wamp 2 Dem was released in 2017 and also debuted at No. 2. Giggs is also the frontman and founder of record label and rap collective SN1, which includes, Gunna Dee, Joe Grind, Kyze and Tiny Boost.

Jahmaal Fyffe, better known by his stage name Chip, is an English rapper from Tottenham, North London. In 2009, he released his debut album, I Am Chipmunk, featuring four songs which peaked in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, including the chart-topping "Oopsy Daisy". In 2011, Chipmunk released his follow-up album, the American hip hop-influenced Transition. It included the single "Champion" featuring Chris Brown, which peaked at #2 on the UK Singles Chart.

New Boyz American hip hop duo

New Boyz were an American jerkin' duo that consisted of rappers Earl "Ben J" Benjamin and Dominic "Legacy" Thomas. They debuted in summer 2009 with their viral hit, "You're a Jerk", taken from their debut studio album Skinny Jeanz and a Mic, released in September 2009. The song peaked in the top thirty of the Billboard Hot 100, and it was the first song to bring the jerkin' style to the national forefront. A second single, "Tie Me Down" featuring Ray J, was also successful and peaked in the top thirty. In May 2011, their second studio album, Too Cool to Care, was released. It includes the top 40 hits "Backseat", featuring The Cataracs and Dev, and "Better with the Lights Off" featuring Chris Brown. The New Boyz have also been featured on Hot Chelle Rae's song "I Like It Like That", which peaked at #28 on the Hot 100.

Jermaine Scott Sinclair , better known by his stage name Wretch 32, is an English recording artist from Tottenham, North London. He was a member of the grime collective "Combination Chain Gang", before forming The Movement with Scorcher, Ghetts, and Mercston.

Tinie Tempah English rapper

Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, better known by his stage name Tinie Tempah, is an English rapper, singer and songwriter. He has been signed to Parlophone Records since 2009, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group. He created his own record and fashion label Disturbing London in 2006 along with his cousin, Dumi Oburota.

Young Kingz is the third mixtape by the English hip hop duo Krept and Konan. The mixtape was released on 2 September 2013 on Play Dirty. It entered the UK Albums Chart at number 19 and the UK R&B Chart at number three.

Krept and Konan are a British rap duo from London, consisting of Casyo "Krept" Johnson, born 4 February 1990 from Gipsy Hill and Karl "Konan" Wilson, born 3 September 1989 from Thornton Heath, the son of Delroy Wilson otherwise known as 'Jamaica's first child star'. Their first major release was the mixtape Young Kingz, released on 2 September 2013. As of 3 May 2013, Krept and Konan signed a record deal with Virgin EMI Records.

M.O are an English recording group consisting of members Annie Ashcroft, Chanal Benjilali and Nadine Samuels and previously Frankee Connolly until her departure in June 2017. The all-female band was formed in 2012 by the members themselves, after their previous groups Mini Viva and Duchess had disbanded. Starting out on independent label Operator Records, they have been signed to Polydor Records since early 2016.

Don't Panic is the independently-released second mixtape by English rap group Section Boyz. The mixtape debuted at #21 on the iTunes chart on pre-orders alone, and reached #3 on the day of the release. In the mixtape's first week it reached number 37 in the UK Albums Chart, later peaking at number 36.

Clive James Brooks, also known as Yungen, is an English rapper, singer and songwriter from Herne Hill, South London. Yungen gained initial recognition for his 2011 F64 freestyle video for SB.TV, and by 2015 had been nominated for Best Newcomer at the MOBO Awards. As a grime artist, Yungen takes inspiration from numerous music genres, which varies from rap to R&B and his own experimentation's. Yungen's most successful song is "Bestie", which features Yxng Bane, and this song reached top 10 in the UK Singles Chart in October 2017 and also became his first platinum single in February 2018.
