See the Light Inside You is the first full-length album by American rock band thelastplaceyoulook. It was released on January 29, 2009, and produced by thelastplaceyoulook and Will Hoffman. The first single is "Don't Make it So Easy" and the music video was produced by Taylor Gahm and released on July 13, 2009. [1] The second single "Band to Save Me" has been added to rotation on Clear Channel's 94.5 KTBZ The Buzz. [2] [3] "Don't Make It so Easy" and "Band to Save Me" were both nominated for the Houston Press Music Awards. [4] [5] "Band to Save Me" was also featured on Escaping The Ordinary's compilation album, Escaping The Ordinary: Volume Two. [6]

Out of the Silent Planet is the debut studio album by the American progressive metal band King's X, released in 1988. The title of the album comes from that of a book by C.S. Lewis, an author favored by band members Ty Tabor and Jerry Gaskill. "Out of the Silent Planet" is also the title of the first track from the follow-up album Gretchen Goes to Nebraska. The cover art features the skyline of Houston with the southern outline of the state of Texas. The album received widespread acclaim from music contemporaries. Pantera bassist Rex Brown commented of his and Dimebag Darrell's impressions, noting "Dime called me and said, ‘Dude, have you heard this? Have you checked out King’s X?'” He says. “We went on a long road trip, and we must have listened to that first record I don’t know how many times, and we couldn’t stop! This was the sound that Dime and I were always looking for.”

Exile is an American band originally formed in 1963. In the 1970s, they were known as a rock band that had a major hit single with "Kiss You All Over" in 1978. After several lineup changes, the band was re-launched as a country act that achieved additional success in the 1980s and '90s. J.P. thelastplaceyoulook is an American rock band that formed in Houston, Texas. Their debut extended play, The Lies We Tell Ourselves, was released on 30 May 2006. This was followed up with the debut of their first full-length album See The Light Inside You, on 29 January 2009, which featured singles "Don't Make It So Easy" and "Band to Save Me". The band has also released a music video and single of "Do You Hear?" a cover of the Christmas song "Do You Hear What I Hear?". In December 2013, they released their second extended play Rip It Out.
