He broke into the Top 10 PSA World Rankings for the first time in November 2014, going on to become the highest-ranked male German player of all time. Rosner subsequently reached a world ranking of No. 6 matching Germany's Sabine Schone's career-high world ranking of No. 6 in June 2015. Rosner broke into the world Top 5 in June 2018 and Top 3 in December 2018 making him the highest-ever-ranked German player.

He also won the 2022 Odense Open, beating seeded players Ben Coleman, Faraz Khan and, in the final, Sam Todd.

The world ranking is the highest ever for the Japan men's squash history. He won the 2018 Queensland Open, becoming the first Japanese player ever to win a professional PSA Tour tournament.
