Mohd Anwar bin Mohd NorRMN (b. December 3, 1951, in Alor Gajah, Malacca, is the 15th and the former Chief of Defence Forces. He is the first head of the Malaysian Armed Forces to be appointed from the Royal Malaysian Navy. For over five decades previously, the Chief of the Defence Force had traditionally been a 4-star General from the Malaysian Army. Anwar broke the tradition by being appointed the first Navy Admiral to be promoted to Chief of Defence Force.

Mohd Sidek bin Hassan is a Malaysian former civil servant, who served in the Administrative and Diplomatic Service of the Malaysian Civil Service from 1974 to 2012, with the last six years as the Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia. Upon his retirement as Chief Secretary to the Government, he was appointed as the Chairman of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), the national oil and gas corporation of Malaysia, a position he served from July 2012 to June 2018.

Malaysia practises an elective monarchy, so there is no distinct line of succession to the Malaysian thrones. In the event where the current seat of the throne falls vacant, the Conference of Rulers meet to elect the new Yang di-Pertuan Agong (monarch) from among the rulers of the nine Malay states. The deputy king does not automatically succeed the throne. The election is regulated by Article 32 of the Constitution of Malaysia.

The Al-Ghufran Royal Mausoleum is a Royal Mausoleum of Perak located near Ubudiah Mosque at Bukit Chandan in Jalan Istana, Kuala Kangsar, Malaysia. The first Sultan of Perak buried here was Sultan Idris Murshidul Azzam Shah I in 1916.

Tengku Dato' Setia Putra Al-Haj bin Tengku Azman Shah Al-Haj is a Malaysian corporate figure and member of the Selangor royal family and Kelantan royal family. He is the first son of Tengku Bendahara Tengku Azman Shah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah and the cousin of the current Sultan, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. He is currently holding the position as Selangor Palace Major Chief and been re-appointed as a royal council members on 11 December 2016 as one of the members in advisory body to the Sultan of Selangor.

The Most Illustrious Order of the Crown of Selangor is an order awarded by Sultan of Selangor as a reward for general services to the sultan and state of Selangor. It was founded in 1961. The order is awarded to the relatives of the Sultan of Selangor as well as high-ranking individuals who have contributed excellence to the Sultan of Selangor and the Sultan's Government. The Sultan also has the right to bestow this Degree of Excellence to anyone whom he deems fit and appropriate to receive it.

The Order of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah is an order awarded by Sultan of Selangor as a reward for general services to the sultan and state of Selangor. It was founded on 14 December 2002 to replace the abolished Order of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. The order is awarded to high-ranking individuals who have contributed excellence to the Sultan of Selangor and His Majesty's Government.

Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin is the queen consort of the 9th Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj and the reigning Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor.

Selangor Council of the Royal Court, established in 1959, serves as an advisory council to the head of Selangor state government, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj. There are 22 members of the council, which is made up of Selangor royal family members and Selangor state officers.
