Johnston Press plc was a multimedia company founded in Falkirk, Scotland, in 1767. Its flagship titles included UK-national newspaper the i, The Scotsman, the Yorkshire Post, the Falkirk Herald, and Belfast's The News Letter. The company was operating around 200 newspapers and associated websites around the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man when it went into administration and was the purchased by JPIMedia in 2018. The Falkirk Herald was the company's first acquisition in 1846. Johnston Press's assets were transferred to JPIMedia in 2018, who continued to publish its titles.

The Scarborough News is a weekly newspaper distributed in and around the Scarborough area in North Yorkshire, England. It was launched on 31 May 2012 as a relaunch of the former daily newspaper, the Scarborough Evening News, and incorporates information from the former Saturday edition of the Filey & Hunmanby Mercury. It is a 'bumper' edition, as news for seven days that was spread over six days now has to be condensed into a weekly issue.
The Times & Citizen is a free local newspaper published on Thursdays in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. The newspaper is distributed all over the Borough of Bedford and much of Mid Bedfordshire. Current circulation is around 31,000.

The Craven Herald & Pioneer is a weekly newspaper covering the Craven area of North Yorkshire as well as part of the Pendle area of Lancashire. Until 29 October 2009 it remained one of only two weekly papers in the United Kingdom that continued to have a front page consisting wholly of advertisements. On 22 October 2009 it was announced that the edition on 29 October 2009 would be the last broadsheet edition with adverts on the front cover. From 5 November 2009 the format was changed to a tabloid size, or compact as the then-editor described it, with news on page one and the adverts moved to page two.
The Goole Times is a weekly newspaper for Goole, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is the oldest and longest serving weekly newspaper in the county of Yorkshire.
National World plc is a British multimedia company based in Leeds, England. The company was founded and listed on the London Stock Exchange in September 2019 as a media takeover vehicle. In January 2021, it acquired JPIMedia for £10.2 million. In April 2022, JPIMedia was rebranded to National World. Since purchasing JPIMedia, National World has launched sixteen new titles and made a further seven acquisitions, notably Insider Media.
