Sevuloni Mocenacagi comes from Nukuilau, Navosa on the Island of Viti Levu plays as a forward or centre in the Fiji national rugby sevens team. According to Gareth Baber, the coach of the Fiji Sevens team: "Last year he [Mocenacagi] was a forward and this year we're using him in that centre position. He's a threat every time he gets the ball, he's a big powerful runner."
Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete is a Fijian politician and Member of the Parliament of Fiji who served as Minister for Health and Medical Services in the FijiFirst government from 2018 to 2022. Before entering politics Dr Waqainabete was a general surgeon in Fiji and Associate Professor of General Surgery at Fiji National University, former President of the Fiji Medical Association, President of the Pacific Island Surgeons Association, and former Chairman of Fiji Medicinal Board. He was on leave from his academic and surgical duties to partake in the 2018 elections as a candidate for the Fiji First Party.
The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation is the government ministry of Fiji responsible for overseeing the well-being of women, children and the disabled in Fiji. The current Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation is Lynda Tabuya who was appointed to the position on 24 December 2022.
In the lead-up to the 2018 Fijian general election, many opinion polls were conducted for different newspapers.
