Senthikumari Rathinakumar is an Indian actress known for her role in the film Pasanga and the third season of Saravanan Meenatchi [1] [2] [3] and Vanathai Pola as Chellathayi. She played the mother of one of Nayanthara's characters in Airaa (2019). [4] She acted in more than 200 films in small roles and some films in important supporting roles.

The film is produced by Sasikumar and music score is composed by James Vasanthan. They rose to fame after their 2008 hit film Subramaniyapuram. Pasanga released on 1 May 2009 to critical acclaim, winning three National Film Awards and several other awards at international film festivals.

The Vijay for Best Supporting Actor is given by STAR Vijay as part of its annual Vijay Awards ceremony for Tamil (Kollywood) films.

Pasanga 2 : Haiku is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language children's film written, co produced and directed by Pandiraj. A thematic sequel to Pasanga (2009), the film focuses on the issue of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) amongst children and is set in the city, unlike Pasanga. The film, starring debutante child actors Nishesh and Vaishnavi in lead alongside Ramdoss, Vidya Pradeep, Karthik Kumar and Bindu Madhavi. This film is produced by Suriya, who also appears in a supporting character along with Amala Paul. The film will mark Pandiraj's last of the trilogy for children, following Pasanga and Marina.

Indian actress and film producer Nayanthara works in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam films. She made her acting debut with Sathyan Anthikad's Malayalam film Manassinakkare in 2003, post the success she became a popular star in the Malayalam industry. She did two more Malayalam films the following year: Shaji Kailas' Natturajavu, and Fazil's psychological thriller Vismayathumbathu. Nayanthara's first appearance in a non-Malayalam film was Hari's Tamil film Ayyawhich released in 2005. While shooting for the film, she was cast in another Tamil film Chandramukhi, after its director P. Vasu's wife had seen Manassinakkare and recommended her. Kolaiyuthir Kaalam is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language horror thriller film directed by Chakri Toleti and produced by V. Mathiyalagan. A remake of an English-language movie Hush, where a deaf and mute woman must fight for her life when a killer appears at her door. It stars Nayanthara, Bhumika Chawla, Pratap K. Pothen, Rohini Hattangadi and began production in November 2016. The film was released on 9 August 2019. The film was a disaster at the box office. The film was remade again by Toleti in Hindi as Khamoshi (2019), which released before this film. It marked Toleti's last film as a director.

Airaa is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language horror film written and directed by KM Sarjun. The film stars Nayanthara and Kalaiyarasan. The film is produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh under the production banner KJR Studios. The film was initially expected to be released on the eve of Christmas but the shooting wasn't completed as planned until December 2018. Nayanthara is playing a dual role in a film for the second time after Maya (2015).
