The Serbian Unity Congress is a non-profit Serb diaspora international organization. It was established in 1990 in response to the political events in Yugoslavia. Its stated long-term goal is to contribute to democratization and reconstruction of the Serbian territories. With its main office located in Washington, DC, the Serbian Unity Congress also has an office in Belgrade, Serbia and representation in Vienna, Austria and through its worldwide chapters.

Pan-Slavism Political ideology

Pan-Slavism, a movement which crystallized in the mid-19th century, is the political ideology concerned with the advancement of integrity and unity for the Slavic peoples. Its main impact occurred in the Balkans, where non-Slavic empires had ruled the South Slavs for centuries. These were mainly the Byzantine Empire, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and Venice.

Yugoslavia was a country in Southeast Europe and Central Europe for most of the 20th century. It came into existence after World War I in 1918 under the name of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes by the merger of the provisional State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs with the Kingdom of Serbia, and constituted the first union of the South Slavic people as a sovereign state, following centuries in which the region had been part of the Ottoman Empire and Austria-Hungary. The official name of the state was changed to Kingdom of Yugoslavia on 3 October 1929.

The Congress of Berlin was a diplomatic conference to reorganise the states in the Balkan Peninsula after the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–78, which had been won by Russia against the Ottoman Empire. Represented at the meeting were Europe's then six great powers: Russia, Great Britain, France, Austria-Hungary, Italy and Germany; the Ottomans; and four Balkan states: Greece, Serbia, Romania and Montenegro. The congress concluded with the signing of the Treaty of Berlin, replacing the preliminary Treaty of San Stefano that had been signed three months earlier.

Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI) is an ecumenical organisation. The members include most of the major churches in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. CTBI is registered at Companies House with number 05661787. Its office is in Central London; As of 2015 the General Secretary was Canon Bob Fyffe.

Kalenić Monastery

The Kalenić Monastery is an important Serbian Orthodox monastery near Rekovac in central Serbia. It was built by protovestiarios Bogdan in the early 15th century (1407-1413). Village of Kalenićki Prnjavor lies nearby. Painter Radoslav came from the monastery of Kalenić.

The United Investment and Trading Company (UNITIC), formerly UNIS Holding BiH, is a joint venture company between UNIS Holding and Kuwait Consulting & Investment Co. Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic–Yugoslavia relations were historical foreign relations between Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and now split-up Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia recognized the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic on 28 November 1984. Yugoslavia was the first country in Europe which formally recognized the independence of Sahrawi Republic after some of its allies from the Non-Aligned Movement pressured Belgrade to follow on its earlier policy when Yugoslavia was the first European country to recognize neighboring Algeria as well. While formal relations were limited Yugoslavia extended certain development aid by providing education both for civilians and Polisario members.
