Public and political activities
From 2004 till 2004 Sergei Kukharenko worked as an instructor of Stanford University Initiative on distant learning program. He gave lectures on "Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law" and "Security, Civil liberties and Terrorism", participated in international conferences organized by Stanford University and visited Stanford to participate in professional development seminars in 2005 and 2007.
In 2008 was elected as the head of the Civilian Power political party. After the unification of the Union of Right Forces, Civilian Power, and Democratic Party of Russia into "Right Cause", he was elected as the leader of the newly established party.
In 2008 he was elected as the head of Amur regional department of "Right Cause" political party.
In 2010 Sergei Kukharenko became one of the founders and the member of the presidium of interregional organization "People's Anticorruption Movement".
For a short period of time, from 2012 till 2013, Sergei Kukharenko was a leader of Amur regional department of the Party of People's Freedom. He took part in the establishment of the newly created party and managed to unite democratic leaders in Amur region and make them join the party.
In the 2013–2014 academic year Sergei worked as a visiting professor at Bemidji State University (US, Minnesota) teaching Russian politics, Russian culture and International relations courses. From 2015, Sergei Kukharenko is heading the Institute for Public Diplomacy in Asia-Pacific.
Khabarovsk is the largest city and the administrative center of Khabarovsk Krai, Russia, located 30 kilometers (19 mi) from the Chinese border, at the confluence of the Amur and Ussuri Rivers, about 800 kilometers (500 mi) north of Vladivostok. The city was the administrative center of the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia from 2002 until December 2018, when Vladivostok took over that role. It is the largest city in the Russian Far East, having overtaken Vladivostok in 2015. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 577,441. It was previously known as Khabarovka.

Sergey Nikolayevich Baburin is a Russian nationalist politician, member of the State Duma of the first, second and fourth convocations where he served in the Committee on Civil, Criminal, Arbitral and Procedural Law, leader of the Russian All-People's Union and an ex-leader of the Rodina political party. He also served as a rector of the Russian State University of Trade and Economics (RGTEU) from 2002 to 2012.

Sergey Yevgenyevich Naryshkin is a Russian official, politician, businessman and the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service since 2016. Previously, he was Chairman of the State Duma (2011–2016) and Kremlin Chief of Staff (2008–2012); he was also chairman of the Historical Truth Commission in May 2009 until it was dissolved in February 2012.
Blagoveschensk State Pedagogical University (BSPU) is situated in Blagoveschensk the administrative center of the Amur Oblast that occupies about 391,900 square kilometers in the south of Russian Far East. The city of Blagoveschensk was founded in 1856. Today it is one of the most important administrative, cultural, scientific and industrial centers of the Far East region with more than 220 000 inhabitants. Blagoveschensk is often called “The Gate to China” for its unique location on the border with China. Just across the river Amur there is a Chinese city Heihe. Many Chinese companies work in the Amur region in timber industry, agriculture, construction business and tourism.
Great Russia is a Russian far-right ultra-nationalist political party that has been associated with neo-Nazism. It was established in April 2007 by former Rodina leader and legislator Dmitry Rogozin in conjunction with the prohibited xenophobic Movement Against Illegal Immigration, the Congress of Russian Communities and former members of the Rodina party which won 9% of the vote at the 2003 Russian Parliamentary elections. The current Chairman of the party is Andrei Saveliyev.
Michael Anthony McFaul is an American academic and diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to Russia from 2012 to 2014. McFaul is currently the Ken Olivier and Angela Nomellini Professor in International Studies in the Department of Political Science at Stanford University, where he is also the Director of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies and the Peter and Helen Bing Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution. He is also a contributing columnist at The Washington Post. Prior to his nomination to the ambassadorial position, McFaul worked for the U.S. National Security Council as Special Assistant to the President and senior director of Russian and Eurasian affairs. In that capacity he was the architect of U.S. President Barack Obama's Russian reset policy.
Phoenix Fund is a Russian wildlife and forest conservation organization serving regions of the Russian Far East, especially Primorski Krai and Khabarovsk Krai. This area includes globally significant biodiversity, including the Amur leopard, Siberian tiger, and other predators, as well as a number of recognized Protected Areas including national parks, wildlife refuges, and nature reserves.

The Last Will of a Russian Fascist is a reprint edition published in 2001 of a book by Konstantin Rodzaevsky, the leader of the All-Russia Fascist Party. Circulation of the book was 12,000 copies, of which 5,000 were a first-edition volume with illustrations, and the remainder were a second-edition volume without illustrations.

2015 Bandy World Championship 2015 was the XXXVth Bandy World Championship. At the FIB congress held during the XXXIVth World Championship in 2014, it was announced that Khabarovsk in Russia had been elected as host city. It was also decided the Group A tournament would be played around the end of March/beginning of April, which means it would take place when the national bandy leagues in the major bandy playing countries, Finland, Norway, Russia and Sweden, would be finished for the season. Group B was played between February 1 and 6 and hit a new record attendance, already before the match for the bronze and the final.
The Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is a Russian military university operated by the Ministry of Defense of Russia (MOD). It is located on 14 Bol'shaya Sadovaya Street in Moscow. It is one of the oldest military schools in Russia.
