Sergio Guadarrama (born 1982) [2] is an Austin-based Mexican-American fashion designer. [3] He is the founder of Celestino Couture, a Hudson-based fashion designing company. [4] [5]

Personal life and education

Guadarrama was born in Austin, Texas and raised in Mexico. Later he moved to Cedar Park, Texas, and attended Cedar Park High School. [6] He was awarded his degree in fashion designing from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, and Fashion Institute of Technology. [7]

Career

Guadarrama established a fashion designing company Celestino Couture in 2005. [8] [9] Guadarrama designed Billy Porter's ensemble for the Tony Awards 2019. [10] [11] [12] He was a participant in Project Runway season 18. He was among the top four who got the chance to present the collection at New York fashion week. His collection is mostly influenced by the political and environmental issues.

Project Runway Season 17 is the seventeenth season of the television show Project Runway, returning to Bravo for the first time since season 5. The season began on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Sixteen designers compete to become "the next great American designer." This was the first season to feature: Karlie Kloss taking over for Heidi Klum, Brandon Maxwell as Zac Posen's replacement, additional judge and former editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue, Elaine Welteroth, as well as returning judge and editor-in-chief of Elle, Nina Garcia. In addition, Season 4 winner Christian Siriano replaced Tim Gunn's role as mentor throughout the competition.

A "save" was also used by Tim Gunn beginning in Season 12 and continuing for the remainder of his time with the show.

Karlie Kloss did not return as host and head judge but appeared in the penultimate episode of the season as a guest judge.
