Seth Accra Jaja is a Professor of Management Science and a distinguished Nigerian academic. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] He was appointed as the 2nd vice-chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2016 [7] [8] [9] succeeding Bolaji Aluko.

He was the Returning Officer of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Delta State for the 2019 General Elections in Nigeria. [10]

Delta State is a state in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Named after the Niger Delta—a large part of which is in the state—the state was formed from the former Bendel State, on 27 August 1991. Federal University Otuoke is sited in the heart of the oil-rich Niger-Delta Region of Bayelsa State. The university was established in 2011 and started with 282 pioneer students. <span class="mw-page-title-main">2019 Nigerian general election</span>

General elections were held in Nigeria on 23 February 2019 to elect the President, Vice President, House of Representatives and the Senate. The elections had initially been scheduled for 16 February, but the Electoral Commission postponed the vote by a week at 03:00 on the original polling day, citing logistical challenges in getting electoral materials to polling stations on time. In some places, the vote was delayed until 24 February due to electoral violence. Polling in some areas was subsequently delayed until 9 March, when voting was carried out alongside gubernatorial and state assembly elections.
