Seth Burnham (born May 31, 1977 in Santa Cruz, California) is a male beach volleyball and volleyball player from the United States who participated at the NORCECA Circuit 2009 at Manzanillo playing with Marcin Jagoda. [1] They finished in the 9th position.

Currently, Seth Burnham is an active volleyball coach and maintains a presence on the interactive volleyball website Volleyball 1on1 where he appears in instructional volleyball videos. He is in his third year as the head coach of the boys' volleyball program at Thousand Oaks High School.

Al Scates is a former American volleyball player and volleyball coach, who was head coach of the UCLA Bruins for 48 years. Scates is the winningest volleyball coach in the history of the NCAA, and the 19 NCAA titles the Bruins won during his tenure ties him for the most NCAA titles won by a coach in a single sport with Arkansas' John McDonnell. Scates' teams won collegiate volleyball championships in five different decades. In addition to coaching, Scates was a physical education instructor at Horace Mann and Hawthorne, two of the elementary schools in the Beverly Hills Unified School District.

Stein Metzger is a male beach volleyball player from the United States. He played college men's indoor volleyball at UCLA where he won 3 NCAA National championships under legendary coach Al Scates. Metzger competed in the AVP. In 2006 he played with his high school teammate, Mike Lambert, and they advanced to the Final Four in fourteen of the fifteen team events, winning five times. They formed the only team to not have a losing record against any other team that season.

He played on the UCLA men's volleyball team and was also a member of the United States men's national volleyball team who received a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Luyties later became a successful professional beach volleyball player and won 7 domestic titles. He is now the head women's volleyball coach at the University of California, San Diego.

John Andrew Banachowski is an American volleyball coach. He was the head coach of the women's volleyball team at UCLA (1965–2010). He had more wins than any other Division I coach, with 1,106 total victories and an overall record since the 1970 season of 1,060-281 (79.0%), until his record was broken on September 6, 2013 by University of Hawaii head coach Dave Shoji. He did not coach from 1968-1969 because of his graduation from UCLA. Under his coaching, the UCLA team has won six national championships. Banachowski was twice an All-American volleyball player at UCLA under Al Scates, and won USVBA national championships in 1965 & 1967 as a player. While at UCLA he joined Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity.

Adam Krikorian is an American water polo coach and the head coach of the United States women's national water polo team. He coached the team to gold medals at both the 2012 Olympic Games and 2016 Olympic Games. He was named the United States Olympic Committee's Coach of the Games for 2016. He won 15 NCAA national championships as player, assistant coach, and head coach at UCLA.

The UCLA women's volleyball program began its first year in 1965. Andy Banachowski had been the head coach each year since 1965 until his retirement after the 2010 season, with the exception of 1968–69 when he graduated from UCLA. In that season, Mardi Hardy was the head coach. Michael Sealy took over as head coach in 2011 and led the team to a national championship in his first season.
