Seoule Simeon Davidson (also spelled Seule Simeon; born 10 October 1970) is a Vanuatuan politician.
A member of Vanuatu's francophone minority, Simeon went to Lycée Louis-Antoine de Bougainville, but did not seek higher education. [1]
In the 2016 general election, Simeon was elected Member of Parliament for Épi Island district as a member of the Union of Moderate Parties (the historically conservative party of francophones). On November 26 during a cabinet reshuffle, Prime Minister Charlot Salwai named Simeon Minister of Youth and Sports. He remained in this role until September 6, 2019, when he was elected Speaker of the Parliament. [1]
Simeon was re-elected in the 2020 general election, this time as a member of the Reunification Movement for Change. He was named Minister of Education in the cabinet of Prime Minister Bob Loughman. In November 2020, Simeon resigned his position in the RMC to sit among the opposition benches. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Maxime Carlot Korman is a Vanuatuan politician, formerly serving as the speaker of the Parliament and formerly as acting president. He served as the prime minister of Vanuatu for nearly five years, first from 16 December 1991 to 21 December 1995 and again from 23 February 1996 to 30 September 1996. He was a member of the Union of Moderate Parties during his terms as prime minister, but now leads the Vanuatu Republican Party. He was the first Speaker of Parliament after independence, from July 1980 to November 1983, and also served in that capacity just before independence.

Snap general elections were held in Vanuatu on 13 October 2022 to elect all 52 seats in Parliament. President Nikenike Vurobaravu dissolved Parliament in August 2022 on advice of the Council of Ministers ahead of a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Bob Loughman.
