Seven Spires is an American symphonic metal band established in 2013 in Boston. [1] [2] [3] The band was founded by guitarist Jack Kosto and vocalist Adrienne Cowan, who are the main songwriters. Seven Spires debuted a year later with EP The Cabaret of Dreams. [4] Since this debut, and with the permanent lineup additions of bassist Peter de Reyna and drummer Chris Dovas, the band has released four studio albums. The first album, Solveig, [5] was produced independently. Afterwards, Seven Spires signed on with Frontiers Music, releasing 2 additional studio albums [6] [7] each with multiple music videos produced by EmVision Productions and released by Frontiers Music. Seven Spires feature elements of many styles and genres of metal, including melodic death metal and black metal. The band's music focuses around concept albums, usually taking place in the same fictional universe. [9] In independent circles, the band's albums have received strong reviews in particular for their musicianship, technical ability, and emotional storytelling. [10] [11] [12]

The band toured with DragonForce [13] in 2022. In 2023, they toured with Twilight Force, Silver Bullet, Omnium Gatherum, and Eluveitie. [14]

Omnium Gatherum is a six-piece melodic death metal band from Finland, founded in the autumn of 1996. Although the band mainly follows the path of the melodic death metal genre, much of their work shows strong influences from progressive metal, especially their later albums. Their music is influenced by Gothenburg-style bands such as At the Gates, In Flames, Dissection, Dark Tranquillity, but also Iron Maiden, Death, Anathema and Megadeth among others.

Eluveitie is a Swiss folk metal band from Winterthur, Zürich, founded in 2002 by Chrigel Glanzmann. The project's first demo, Vên, was released in 2003. Vên was a studio project of Glanzmann's, but its success led to the recruitment of a full band. The band then released a full-length album, Spirit, in June 2006. In November 2007, Eluveitie was signed by Nuclear Blast. The group rose to fame following the release of their first major-label album, Slania, in February 2008. The album peaked at number 35 in the Swiss charts and number 72 in the German charts.

Girish and the Chronicles also known as GATC, is an Indian rock band from Gangtok, Sikkim, formed in 2009, by vocalist Girish Pradhan. The line-up consists of Girish Pradhan on the vocals, Yogesh Pradhan on the bass, Suraz Sun on the lead guitars and Nagen Mongrati on the drums. Black Anima is the ninth studio album by Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil. It was released by Century Media Records on 11 October 2019. Recording took place BRX Studio in Milan, Italy. It is the first album to feature drummer Richard Meiz, also part of Italian symphonic death metal band, Genus Ordinis Dei. On 15 July 2019, previous drummer Ryan Blake Folden announced via Instagram that he did not play on Black Anima, nor would he be touring outside of the US. Richard Meiz was officially announced as the new drummer of Lacuna Coil on the Genus Ordinis Dei Facebook page.

The band toured for the album in February and March 2022 in North America, supported by Allegaeon and Black Crown Initiate, and from September to November 2022 in Europe, as special guests in the Veleno Across Europe Tour by Fleshgod Apocalypse.

<i>Omnium Gatherum</i> (album) 2022 studio album by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard

Omnium Gatherum is the 20th studio album and first double album by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, released on 22 April 2022. The album was announced on 8 March 2022 and made available for pre-order on 22 March. It marked the first studio release where all band members are playing together live since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. As with previous releases, the album features music of numerous genres, including psychedelia, progressive rock, heavy metal and synth-pop, as well as the band's first experiments with hip hop. It received generally positive reviews, although critics were divided on its length and consistency.

"The Dripping Tap" is a song by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, released in 2022 as the lead single from their twentieth studio album, Omnium Gatherum. Over 18 minutes in length, the song was first composed during studio sessions for Fishing for Fishies and re-recorded with all band members present following a period of remote collaboration during COVID-19 lockdowns.
