It contains songs previously recorded by both artists (Benson's "Breezin" and Jarreau's "Mornin" and original music. Your Heart's in Good Hands is American singer Al Green's 26th studio album, his first after a several-year hiatus from secular music, released by MCA Records in 1995. Described as "a solid project that approaches the Rev. Green's classic work with Hi Records", the album was said to capture much of Al Green's early vocal sound, keeping true to his original style but also adding modern elements. "Keep On Pushing Love", a single released from the album, produced by Arthur Baker and co-written with Lotti Golden, Al Green and Tommy Faragher invokes "the original, sparse sound of his [Green's] early classics." "Your Heart's in Good Hands", a single produced by Narada Michael Walden and written by Diane Warren, was also released from the LP.
Blue Obsession is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Michael McDonald. The album was released on March 28, 2000, by Ramp Records. The original album was pulled from release before it got to stores, but a few advance copies did get out. The original has a different track listing and 3 songs from it were removed and replaced by other songs. A cover of "Tell It Like It Is" was pulled and still has never been officially released. Catalog # 2-46508 was the promo on the Reprise label, not Ramp.

Through the Fire is the sixteenth studio album by American singer Peabo Bryson. It was released by Columbia Records on June 14, 1994, in the United States and marked Bryson's first full-length album after the release of his number-one hit duets "Beauty and the Beast" (1991) and "A Whole New World" (1992). The singer reteamed with David Foster, Walter Afanasieff, and Dwight Watkins and consulted upcoming producers Keith Rawls, Keith Thomas and Marc Freeman to work with him on the majority of Through the Fire which was titled after Bryson's cover of the Foster-penned Chaka Khan song (1984).
