Shahan Ali Mohsin (born 13 July 2004) is an Indian racing driver from India, an Asia Max Karting Champion and two-time JK Tyre Rotax Max Championship in the Micro Max category. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Racing career

2015

Shahan won 6 races out of 10 (finals and pre-finals) and finishing second in another three. [6] The final round was held at the Shah Alam Karting Circuit in Malaysia, driving for the Asia Max outfit iS Racing run by Imran Shahrom. [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12]

2016

In his final Micro Max (8–12 years) category, he became the first-ever Indian to win the Asian Karting title in any category. [13] [14] [15] He successfully defended his Micro Max National title in two championships, the JK Tyre Meco Motorsport Rotax Max Kart Open and JK Tyre National Rotax Max Karting Championship. [16] [17] [18] Shahan also participated in his first European race, the Rotax Euro Finals held in Austria. [19] [20]

2017

In 2017 Shahan moved up to the Junior category in the national championship, [21] [22] Shahan participated in a few European rounds as well on a one-off basis, with his best result being a fourth place in the Rotax Grand Finals at Speedworld Circuit in Austria. [23] [24]

Personal life

Mohsin's father, Shahroo Mohsin is a shoe exporter based in Agra. Shahan is a student of Delhi Public School, Agra. His favourite F1 driver and idol is Spaniard Fernando Alonso. [8]

Kyle Aditya Kumaran is a racing driver of Indian Origin from the state of Tamil Nadu based in Dubai, UAE. He is the Vice World Champion in Rotax Grand Final at Bahrain held on 18 Dec 2021. He is currently the only Indian to have won a trophy at a world karting event. He won the Senior Max title in the Meco FMSCI National Karting Chamship Rotax Max class 2021 at the Meco Kartopia Track in November. Kumaran also won the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Nations Cup in DD2 class.

Arjun Balu is an Indian motorsports driver. After starting as a road racing driver in 1992, he took part in the Indian National Rally Championship for 17 years. He won 11 Championships, all in road racing and is currently racing in the Indian Touring Car (ITC) class in the MRF MMSC fmsci Indian National Car Racing Championship 2023. He is the reigning National champion in the ITC class (2022).
