Shahar Yar Khan Shar is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from August 2018 till August 2023.
He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Sindh as a candidate of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from PS-18 Ghotki-I in the 2018 Pakistani general election. [1]
On 11 March 2021,was expelled from the PTI for not voting for his party's candidates in the 2021 Pakistani Senate election. [2]
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is a political party in Pakistan established in 1996 by Pakistani cricketer and politician Imran Khan,who served as the country's prime minister from 2018 to 2022. The PTI ranks among the three major Pakistani political parties alongside the Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML–N) and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP),and it is the largest party in terms of representation in the National Assembly of Pakistan since the 2018 general election. With a claimed membership of over 10 million in Pakistan,it claims to be one of the country's largest political parties by primary membership.
Arif-ur-Rehman Alvi is a Pakistani politician who served as the 13th president of Pakistan,in office from 2018 to 2024. He was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from June 2013 to May 2018 and again from August to September 2018. Alvi was a dentist before entering politics in 1979,when he joined Jamaat-e-Islami (Pakistan),but resigned later on from the party and then joined former cricketer Imran Khan's party in 1996 and is amongst the founding members of PTI.
Presidential elections were held on 30 July 2013 in Pakistan to elect the 12th President of Pakistan. Incumbent President Asif Ali Zardari’s term was scheduled to expire on 8 September 2013;and as such,Article 41 of the Constitution of Pakistan required the elections to be held no later than 8 August 2013. The Electoral College of Pakistan –a joint sitting of the Senate,National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies –were tasked with electing a new president to succeed President Zardari,who declined to seek a second term in office. After the Pakistan Peoples Party and its allies boycotted the presidential election,the two candidates were Mamnoon Hussain backed by the Pakistan Muslim League (N),and Wajihuddin Ahmed backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Agra-born Hussain was elected president by a majority securing 432 votes. The elections were the first time in Pakistani history where a civilian president was elected while an incumbent civilian President was still in office,completing a historic and democratic transition of power that began with the 2013 General Elections.
Syed Ali Haider Zaidi is a Pakistani politician who served as the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs from 11 September 2018 to 10 April 2022. He also served as the President of PTI's Sindh chapter He remained a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 to January 2023.
Ramesh Kumar Vankwani is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan,from August 2018 till August 2023. But in 2022 he left PTI to join PPP. Previously he was member of the National Assembly from June 2013 to May 2018 and a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 2002 to 2007. He was considered a strongest candidate to contest General Elections 2024 from NA-241 Karachi on the ticket of PPP. However,he was not awarded the ticket and his nomination on the reserved seats in National Assembly was not liked by the ideological workers of PPP on the bases that he had been known changing political parties in the past two decades.

The elections saw Arif Alvi of PTI being elected as the 13th president of Pakistan after defeating Fazal-ur-Rehman of MMA and Aitzaz Ahsan of PPP. Although incumbent president Mamnoon Hussain,whose term was to expire on 9 September 2018,was eligible for re-election,he declined to take part.
Triennial Senate elections were in Pakistan held on 3 March 2018 to replace 52 retiring senators - half of the Senate's strength - with the winning candidates serving six-year terms. It was founded on 23 October 2017 by the Sindh-based regional political parties along with some rival dissident politicians from Pakistan Peoples Party as a political alliance against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government in Sindh,accusing it of Political victimization of opponents by using Fascist Authoritarian political policies and has been a critic of Asif Ali Zardari (PPP) president the alliance accused him of supporting Nepotism and Corruption in the region and usurping the Pakistan Peoples Party by using the Bhutto family name to gain power.
Imran Ismail is a Pakistani businessman and politician. He served as the 33rd governor of Sindh from 27 August 2018 to 18 April 2022. Before being appointed Governor of Sindh,he was a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh for a brief period in August 2018.

Elections for the Senate of Pakistan were held on 2 April 2024. Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were postponed by the ECP.
Provincial elections were held in Sindh on 8 February 2024 to elect a new provincial legislature. On 5 August 2023,after the approval of the results of the 2023 digital census by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif,elections have been delayed for several months,as new delimitations will be published on 14 December 2023. On 2 November 2023,the Election Commission of Pakistan announced,in agreement with the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi,that the elections should be held on 8 February 2024. This election was held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.

Asif Ali Zardari of the PPP was elected as President,defeating Mahmood Khan Achakzai of the PTI-backed alliance Outgoing President Arif Alvi was eligible for re-election but did not contest for a second term.
