Chitwan District is one of 77 districts of Nepal, and takes up the southwestern corner of Bagmati Province. Bharatpur, largest city of Nepal after Kathmandu, is its administrative centre. It covers 2,238.39 km2 (864.25 sq mi), and in 2011 had a population of 579,984 people. Bharatpur is the commercial and service centre of South Central Nepal and a major destination for higher education, health care and transportation in the region. Chitwan lies in the Terai region of Nepal. It is in the drainage basin of the Gandaki River and is roughly triangular, taking that river as its meandering northwestern border, and a modest watershed border, with India, as the basis of its southern limit.
Nawalparasi District part of which belongs to Gandaki Province and part to Lumbini Province, was one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal before being divided. The district, with Ramgram as its district headquarters, covered an area of 2,162 square kilometres (835 sq mi) and has a population (2011) of 643,508.
Siddharthanagar, formerly and colloquially still called Bhairahawa, is a municipality and the administrative headquarter of Rupandehi District in Lumbini Province of Nepal, 265 km (165 mi) west of Nepal's capital Kathmandu. It is the closest city to Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, which is located 25 km (16 mi) to the west. The city borders the Indian city of Sonauli in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh. The city is among the major industrial power house in the country impacting major economic aspects of Nepal. It has the second largest rate of border trade with India after Birgunj border in the country. Although the current name was first used in 1977, many still refer to it as Bhairahawa.
Bharatpur is a city in southern central Nepal with a population of 280,502. It is the second largest metropolitan city in Nepal by area, the fourth largest metropolitan city by population, and also the district headquarter of the Chitwan District.
Triyuga is one of eight municipalities of Udayapur district of the Province No. 1 of Nepal. Gaighat is the headquarter of the municipality. According to the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 55,291. According to the 2011 Nepal census, Triyuga had 87,557 inhabitants. It is divided into 16 wards. Triyuga Municipality was established on B.S. Chaitra 13, 2053. It was named after Triyuga River. A river which flows through the town. Triyuga is the 3rd largest municipality in Nepal and 1st largest in Province No. 1 in term of size (area). The total area of the municipality is 547.43 square kilometres (211.36 sq mi)
Mahendra Highway, also called East-West Highway runs across the Terai geographical region of Nepal, from Mechinagar in the east to Bhim Datta in the west, cutting across the entire width of the country. It is the longest highway in Nepal and was constructed by CPWD/PWD Nepali and Indian engineers. The highway runs through all the provinces of Nepal except Karnali Province.
Devghat(Sanskrit: देवघाटम्, DevaghāṭamSanskrit pronunciation: [deːʋɐˈɡʱaːʈɐm]) is one of the famous religious and cultural centers in central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5786 people living in 1132 individual households.
Lalbandi is a Municipality in Sarlahi District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Parwanipur VDC, Netragung vdc, Jabdi, Lalbandi and Pattharkot VDCs. At the time of the 2011 Nepal Census, it had a population of 59,395 people living in 3295 individual households. There are 17 wards in this municipality. It is the largest municipality in Sarlahi district. The office of this municipality is in ward no.6 Located in the Lalbandi. Lalbandi Bazar, located on the East West Mahendra highway, is one of the main trading areas within the municipal area. Bordering East Ishwarpur Municipality, West Hariwan and Haripur Municipality, North Sindhuli District and bordering Haripur and Ishwarpur in the south, Lalbandi Bazar is the main trading site of the district.

Rajahar is a village development committee in Nawalparasi District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. It lies in and is intersected by Mahendra Highway. Rajahar Bazar is one of the oldest town of the area. This area is highly served by weekly street market every Saturday commonly known as Haat Bazar. Razahar is also the home town of Devchuli Higher Secondary School and Devchuli College, the oldest in the district. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 7839 people living in 1387 individual households.
Sunwal is a municipality in Nawalparasi District. It lies in Western Development Region, Lumbini Zone. It was announced as a municipality on 2011 combining two neighboring Village Development Committees; Sunwal and Swathi; of the district. It is the urban core of a rapidly growing urban agglomerate in Nepal and it belongs to the State no.5 under new constitution.
Kawasoti (Nepali: कावासोती) is a municipality in Nawalpur District, Gandaki Province, Nepal. It is 31 km west of Bharatpur and 85 km (53 mi) east of Butwal, approximately on the middle of Mahendra Highway. The Naryani River flows south of it, and the Mahabharat Range is north of it.
Arunkhola is a bustling town situated on the bank of the river Arun before as Naya Belhani VDC Ward No. 8 of Nawalparasi, but now as Madhyabindu Municipality, ward no. 10, Nawalpur District of Western Nepal. It is also known as Aarungkhola, Aarunkhola(Nepali: आरुणखोला) and Bhagra. It is an emerging business hub of the district.

This municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging existing Makar and Panchanagar VDCs. Again during the local election, the neighbouring VDC Dawanne devi and some part of Dhurkot, Jamuniya, Rupauliya were merged in it. It has a population of 55,382 with the area of 162.05 km2. It is an emerging town of Parasi District that is developing rapidly.
Gaindakot is a municipality in Nawalpur District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. It became a municipality in May 2014 by merging the existing Mukundapur, Amarapuri, and Gaindakot VDCs. It was again expanded by merging Ratanpur VDC. It is situated on the shore of Narayani River in the lap of Maula Kalika temple. So this place has a great possibility of tourism development. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, it had a population of 58,841 and 13,623 individual households according to 2011 Nepal census.
Madhyabindu is a municipality of Nawalpur District in Lumbini Zone of Southern Nepal. The municipality was established on 19 September 2015 by merging the existing Tamasariya, Narayani and Kolhuwa Village development committees (VDCs). The center of the municipality is established in the former Tamasariya VDC of Chormara Bazaar. After merging the three VDCs population it had a total population of 28,224 according to 2011 Nepal census. After the government decision the number of Sub Metropolitan cities and municipalities has reached 12 and 217 respectively in Nepal.
