Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,formerly known as North West Frontier Province (NWFP),is a province of Pakistan. Located in the northwestern region of the country,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the fourth largest province of Pakistan by land area and the third-largest province by population. It is bordered by the Pakistani provinces of Balochistan to the south,Punjab to the south-east,the territory of Gilgit-Baltistan to the north and north-east,Islamabad Capital Territory to the east and Azad Kashmir to the north-east. Born in Thana,Malakand,Khan earned his law degree from Khyber Law College and his Master of Arts degrees in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Peshawar before beginning his career in law. His tenure at the Peshawar High Court began in 2011,and he subsequently held various positions,including Senior Justice and Acting Chief Justice,before his death in 2024.

The Peshawar–Dera Ismail Khan motorway is a 360 km (220 mi) long proposed motorway connecting Peshawar with the southern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,Pakistan. Starting at the provincial capital Peshawar in the north,it will pass through Darra Adamkhel,Kohat,Hangu,Karak,Bannu(Domel),Ghoriwala,Lakki Marwat,and Darra Pezu,reaching Dera Ismail Khan at its southern end.
Kazim Niaz is a Pakistani civil servant BPS-22 who served as Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from October 2019 to November 2021. He has also served as Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan.
