Shameka Marshall (born 9 September 1983) is an American long jumper who attended Rutgers University. She was a 2-time All American in the long jump and also qualified for the NCAA 60 meter hurdles with a personal best of 8.19 seconds. Her best long jump while attending Rutger was 21 feet 10.25 inches. She was inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame in October 2017. [1] [2]

Raised in Quinton Township, New Jersey, Marshall attended Oakcrest High School, where she won two individual state titles as a senior and graduating in 2001. [3]

Professionally, she won a gold medal at the 2007 NACAC Championships in Athletics. While also representing the United States in the 4 × 100 m relay team.

Marshall participated in United States Olympic Trials three times: in 2004 (during college), 2008 and in 2012. She remained in the top 10 ranking for the Women's long jump during her 10-year professional career. [4] [5] During this time, Marshall also coached athletics at Temple University in Philadelphia. [6] She improved her mark to 22 feet 1 inch under the direction of Coach Eric Mobley and also secured a silver medal at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2011.

Marshall has since created and published her first single called "Even Though." Currently she personally trains individual athletes to their next level and instructs all ages to fitness success.

The school is part of the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District, which includes three secondary schools that serve students from Egg Harbor City, Galloway Township, Hamilton Township and Mullica Township, together with students from Port Republic and Washington Township who attend as part of sending/receiving relationships.

Hollis Conway is a track and field high jumper and a two-time Olympic medalist. He is currently employed by Lafayette Consolidated Government as the PARC Director in Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory's administration. Conway previously served as the Assistant Director of Diversity, Leadership, & Education for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team under head coach Billy Napier. Conway was the top-ranked high jumper in the U.S. seven straight years from 1988 to 1994 and in the world for two of those years. Conway, John Thomas and Dwight Stones are the only Americans to win two Olympic medals in the high jump.

Willye White

Willye Brown White was an American track and field athlete who took part in five Olympics from 1956 to 1972. She was America's best female long jumper of the time and also competed in the 100 meters sprint. White was a Tennessee State University Tigerbelle under Coach Ed Temple. She was African-American. Joni Luann Huntley is an American high jumper. She competed at the 1976 and 1984 Olympics and won a bronze medal in 1984, placing fifth in 1976. At the Pan American Games she won a gold medal in 1975 and a bronze in 1983. She was ranked as third-best high jumper in the world in 1975. Domestically she won the national title in 1974–77 and set four American records in 1974–75.

Dr. Sheila Ann Hudson is an American former track and field athlete and Olympian, ranked among the all-time greatest U.S. competitors in the women's triple jump. She previously held the indoor American record in the women's triple jump (46-8.25) as well as the outdoor American record in women's triple jump (47-3.5) with a wind aided all-time best jump of 48-1.25. Ronald Lee Jourdan was an American college and Olympic track and field athlete.
