Ibrahim Shekarau is a former Nigerian minister of education and two-term Governor of Kano State in Nigeria. He was elected in April 2003 and re-elected in April 2007. He is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was one of the candidates who aspired to become president in the Nigerian general elections of 2011.
Mohammed Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, FNSE FNIQS is a Nigerian politician who served as governor of Kano state from 1999 to 2003 and from 2011 to 2015. Muhammad Bello Yakubu is a Nigerian politician. He served as a member representing Bunza/Birnin Kebbi/Kalgo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Born in 1962, he hails from Kebbi State. He succeeded Abdulahi Faruk and was elected into the House of Assembly at the 2019 elections. He decamped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2022. He was defeated by Mohammed Abba-Bello at the party primaries for the 2023 elections.
