Shane MacDonald (born May 26, 1993 in Elora, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian lacrosse player for the Minnesota Swarm in the National Lacrosse League.

Junior career

Before entering the 2014 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft, Shane MacDonald was a forward for the Brampton Excelsiors in Major Series Lacrosse, the Orangeville Northmen Jr. A of the OLA Junior A Lacrosse League, and the Elora Mohawks of the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League. [1]

Professional career

Shane MacDonald was selected fifth overall in the 2014 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft by the Minnesota Swarm, who had received the pick in a trade with the Buffalo Bandits. [2] In his rookie season in the National Lacrosse League, MacDonald had a rather low scoring season with only 6 goals, 7 assist and 13 points. [3]

Athan Iannucci is a professional lacrosse player. He played collegiate lacrosse at Hofstra University. Iannucci played professional lacrosse for the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. He was a member of the now defunct St. Regis Indians of the Ontario Lacrosse Association's Senior-A Major Series Lacrosse. He plays in the summer months for the WLA Langley Thunder.

Greer's cousin Shawn Thornton played in the National Hockey League for 14 seasons from 2002 to 2017.

Kasey Beirnes is a Canadian former professional lacrosse player in the National Lacrosse League. He was drafted in the third round, the 28th overall pick, by the Columbus Landsharks. He retired after 16 seasons. He played for the Columbus Landsharks, Arizona Sting, Minnesota Swarm and Toronto Rock.

Craig Point, is an Iroquois lacrosse player who currently plays for the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League and the Six Nations Chiefs of Major Series Lacrosse. He was born in Ohsweken, Ontario, and comes from the Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation.

Born in Kitchener, Ontario, Watt began his career with the hometown Kitchener-Waterloo Braves of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League, with whom he played from 2001 to 2005. Watt was eventually called up to the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks, and has also played for the Six Nations Chiefs before continuing his MSL career with the Lakers. Drew Petkoff is a professional lacrosse player under contract with the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League. Hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, Petkoff began his junior career in 2002 with the Milton Mavericks of the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League, and was acquired by the Oakville Buzz in 2005, winning the Founders Cup with the Buzz in 2006. He also spent time with the Senior B Ajax-Pickering Rock in 2008 and 2009. Petkoff began his Major Series Lacrosse career in 2009 and won two Mann Cups with the Brampton Excelsiors before being dealt to the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks in 2011. He last played for the Kodiaks in 2013.

Rory Smith is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Vancouver Warriors of the National Lacrosse League and the Victoria Shamrocks of Western Lacrosse Association. Smith is known as an enforcer, and has racked up over 1,000 career penalty minutes during his amateur and professional career. His 104 penalty minutes with Orlando in 2010 is the record for most penalty minutes in a single season in NLL history.

Zachary "Zach" Higgins is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League and the Brooklin Redmen of Major Series Lacrosse. Hailing from Courtice, Ontario, Higgins began his Canadian amateur career with the Jr. B Clarington Green Gaels, where he won his league's Goaltender of the Year Award in 2007 and 2008. He moved up to the Jr. A Whitby Warriors, where he won a Minto Cup as the team's starter in 2011. He made his MSL debut with the Redmen in 2012. Ethan O'Connor is a professional lacrosse player for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League and the Six Nations Chiefs of Major Series Lacrosse. Born in Milton, Ontario, O'Connor began his minor lacrosse career playing for the Milton Mavericks. He was drafted in the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse Draft to the Burlington Chiefs where was named a two time team captain and earned First Team All League honors for his final season. During his junior career, O'Connor also played for the Oakville Buzz and Halton Hills Bulldogs of the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League. O'Connor was drafted in the first round of the 2013 NLL Entry Draft by the Toronto Rock, playing in all but one game his rookie season. After one season with the Rock, he was traded to the Minnesota Swarm where he was a contributing member of their 2017 NLL Championship winning team. Prior to the 2018-19 season, O'Connor was traded to his current team, the Bandits. O'Connor also played division one lacrosse for Hobart College.

Shayne Jackson is a Canadian professional lacrosse player playing for the Georgia Swarm of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Cannons LC of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). He previously played for the Charlotte Hounds, Atlanta Blaze & Philadelphia Barrage in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL).
