Shankarrao Devram Kale (1921-2012) was an Indian politician and an important figure in the Sahakar chalval co-operative movement in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar district. He was a State Minister in the Cabinet of the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar. He also represented the Kopargaon Loksabha constituency from 1991 to 1996 for the Indian National Congress. [1]

He worked for the welfare of farmers and workers. Ganpatrao Autade established Kopargaon Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd in 1953 at Kolpewadi, Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra. Shri Kale was one of the founding board of directors. He took the cooperative movement to the top in Ahmednagar district and Maharashtra state as well. [2]

He died on 5 November 2012.

Shambhuraj Shivajirao Desai is an Indian politician and Shiv Sena leader from Satara district, Maharashtra. He is a member of the 14th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Patan Assembly Constituency. He had been elected to Vidhan Sabha for three terms in 2004, 2014 and 2019.

Shankarrao Mohite-Patil was an Indian politician and member of the Congress party.

Nagnath Naikwadi (1922–2012), popularly known as Krantiveer Nagnath anna, was an Indian independence activist, social worker, politician and educationist, known for his revolutionary activism during the Indian independence struggle. He was an associate of Nana Patil during the Quit India movement and together they established Prati Sarkar, a parallel government, in Satara-Sangli region of Maharashtra and indulged in armed struggle against the British. After the Indian independence, he was involved in electoral politics and was a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, representing Sangli. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 2009, for his contributions to Indian society.

Prakashdada Solanke is an Indian politician who served as minister of state for revenue, rehabilitation in Maharashtra government. He is four times MLA from Majalgaon assembly constituency. His father, Sundarrao Solanke, was a former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and veteran Congress leader.
