The Auburn Doubledays are a collegiate summer baseball team of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) that is located in Auburn,New York. From 1958 to 2020,they were members of Minor League Baseball's New York–Penn League (NYPL). They have played their home games at Leo Pinckney Field at Falcon Park since 1995. They previously played at the original Falcon Park,which was built in 1927 on the same site. The team is owned and operated by Auburn Community Baseball.

Hugo Francis Bezdek was a Czech American athlete who played American football and was a coach of football,basketball,and baseball. He was the head football coach at the University of Oregon,the University of Arkansas (1908–1912),Pennsylvania State University (1918–1929),and Delaware Valley College (1949). Bezdek also coached the Mare Island Marines in the 1918 Rose Bowl and the Cleveland Rams of the National Football League (NFL) in 1937 and part of the 1938 season. In addition,Bezdek coached basketball at Oregon and Penn State (1919),coached baseball at Arkansas (1909–1913),Oregon (1914–1917) and Penn State (1920–1930),and served as the manager of Major League Baseball's Pittsburgh Pirates (1917–1919). He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1954.

Daniel Webster Shannon was an American Major League Baseball player and manager. He began his Major League career in 1889 with the Louisville Colonels as their second baseman. During the season,he became player-manager for a total of 56 games,of which only 10 were victories. In 1890,he jumped to the Players' League and played for the Philadelphia Athletics and the New York Giants that season. When the league folded the following year,he moved over the Washington Statesmen,and again was named player-manager during the season,this time for a period of 49 games winning only 15.

He played football and baseball at the University of Pennsylvania and appeared in four Major League Baseball games for the Cincinnati Reds. Elwood Otto "Woody" Wagenhorst was an American football and baseball player and coach. He played Major League Baseball as a third baseman for the Philadelphia Quakers in 1888. In two career games,he had one hit in eight at-bats. Wagenhorst served as the head football coach at the University of Pennsylvania from 1888 to 1891,compiling a record of 39–18.
Jesse Hall "Pete" Allen was a professional baseball player whose career spanned two seasons,including a part of one in Major League Baseball with the Cleveland Spiders (1893). Allen played one game in the majors and went hitless four at-bats. In that game,Allen played catcher. He also played in the minor leagues with the Binghamton Bingoes (1893) and the New Castle,Pennsylvania baseball team (1895). During Allen's time in the minors,he played catcher and outfielder. After his baseball career was over,Allen enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he graduated in 1897. Soon after,Allen began practicing medicine,specializing in proctology.
Stephen Sebo was an American football and baseball player,coach,college athletics administrator,and professional sports executive. He played baseball and football at Michigan State University,from which he graduated in 1937. He then played minor league baseball and coached sports at Petoskey High School in Petoskey,Michigan. During the World War II era,he served in the United States Army Air Forces and was discharged after 5 years with the rank of major. After the war,Sebo was the head football coach at Alma College from 1946 to 1948 and at the University of Pennsylvania from 1954 to 1959,compiling a career college football record of 33–42–2.
