Cesael "Shaq" Delos Santos is a Filipino volleyball coach who was head coach of the Cignal HD Spikers of the Premier Volleyball League.

Delos Santos attended the Far Eastern University (FEU). [1]

Career

College

Delos Santos worked as an assistant coach for the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses. He became head coach in 2008, after coach August Santamaria suffered from a mild stroke. [2] He resigned from UST in April 2011. [3] He left to coach for his alma mater. [1]

Delos Santos coached the FEU women's team to three Final Four appearances from Season 77 to 80 (2014–2017). [4]

In August 2022, Delos Santos was appointed as head coach of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons women's team. [4]

Club

Delos Santos has coached in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). He was head coach of the Petron Blaze Spikers from 2016 to 2019, helping the team clinch four titles in four competitions namely the 2017 All-Filipino, 2018 Grand Prix and All-Filipino, and the 2019 Grand Prix Conferences. [5]

In 2017, he led a PSL selection team in the 2017 Annual Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Cup Volleyball Tournament in Sisaket, Thailand. [6]

PSL side Cignal HD Spikers tapped Delos Santos as an assistant coach to Edgar Barroga in January 2020. [7] [8] In March 2021, he was elevated as head coach of the Cignal HD Spikers after Barroga's departure. He became the team's first coach in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) after Cignal left the PSL. [9]

National team

In 2018, Delos Santos was appointed as head coach of the Philippines women's national team replacing Ramil de Jesus. [10]

The Cignal HD Spikers is a professional women's volleyball team in the Philippines. The club is owned by Cignal TV, Inc., a subsidiary of MediaQuest Holdings, Inc., a PLDT company.

Rachel Anne Lopez Daquis is a Filipino volleyball player. She graduated from the Far Eastern University where she took up Business Management. She was also the team captain of the PLDT HOME TVolution women's team that played in the 2014 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. She is a former team captain of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in her collegiate years, where she was given the title "Queen Tamaraw". She played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) with the Cignal HD Spikers and is the PSL's brand ambassador for 2018 to 2019. In 2021, Cignal transferred to the Premier Volleyball League.

Aiza Maizo-Pontillas is a Filipina professional volleyball player. She was a former member and team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses, and a former member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team.

Charleen Abigaile "Cha" Ramos Cruz-Behag is a Filipino professional volleyball player and an educator. She was a two-time University Athletic Association of the Philippines's (UAAP) Finals Most Valuable Player and was part of the De La Salle University Lady Spikers' four UAAP championships. She is known for her versatility in volleyball, earning her the moniker "Ms. Everything".

Maria Carmela "Mela" Tunay is Filipina former volleyball player, actress, and TV host. She played for the UST Lady Tigresses in the UAAP and the Cignal HD Spikers in the PSL until 2016. She then transferred and played for the Petron Blaze Spikers from 2017 to 2019.

Ennajie Cruz Laure, better known as EJ Laure, is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a member and a former team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team, and a former Philippine national team member.

The UST Golden Tigresses are the women’s collegiate varsity volleyball team of the UST Growling Tigers, representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Their head coach as of April 17, 2015 is former Golden Spiker Kungfu Reyes.

Geneveve Casugod is a Filipino professional volleyball player who currently plays for the Cignal HD Spikers on the Premier Volleyball League.
