Sharon Brown-Hruska is the former Acting Chairman and Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). She was designated as the Acting Chairman of the CFTC by President George W. Bush in 2004 and served in the role until 2005. She also served as a Commissioner of the CFTC for two terms under President Bush.
Brown-Hruska was first nominated to serve as Commissioner for the CFTC on April 9,2002 and was confirmed by the Senate on August 2,2002. On July 22,2004,she was nominated by President Bush for a second term as Commissioner and served until April 13,2009. [1] Brown-Hruska also served as Acting Chairman of the CFTC when President Bush designated her to the position on July 26,2004. She served until July 10,2005. [2]
Prior to joining the CFTC,Brown-Hruska was an Assistant Professor of Finance at George Mason University and Tulane University. [3] She sits on the board of all women Athena SPAC vehicle Athena Technology Acquisition Corp. II. [4] [5]
Brown-Hruska holds a B.A.,M.A.,and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech.
She is a native of Winchester,Virginia and lives with her husband and son in Burke,Virginia.

Tony Gallegos (1924-2018) was an American businessman,World War II veteran and politician of Mexican American and Native American descent. Gallegos served in the U.S. Army Air Force,from 1943 to 1946. A native of Montrose,Colorado,he served as a flight engineer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II,flying 17 missions in a B-17 bomber. After the war,he received a bachelor of arts from the Bistram Institute of Fine Arts in California. Prior to his appointment as a Commissioner of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission,Gallegos worked at the Douglas Aircraft Company in California in a number of managerial positions from 1952 to 1982,and became corporate art director.
Mark Victor Rosenker was an American aviation official who served as the 11th chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) from August 2006 through August 2008. He was nominated by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Chairman Rosenker was renominated by President Bush for a second term as chair and was going through the Senate confirmation process,which basically ended when President Obama was elected in November 2008. He served as acting chair starting in March 2005 to August 2006 and then again from August 2008 until his resignation from the board in August 2009,when he returned to private life. He died on September 26,2020,from brain cancer at the age of 73.

Rostin Behnam(born February 16,1978) is an American lawyer and government official who currently serves as the 15th chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Prior to leading the CFTC,he served as one of five-member CFTC commissioners,having been nominated on July 13,2017 by President Donald Trump to fulfill a term expiring June 19,2021. Behnam was unanimously confirmed by the Senate on August 3,2017,and sworn in as commissioner on September 6,2017. On January 21,2021,the commission members unanimously elected Behnam to be acting chairman following President Joe Biden' s inauguration and the resignation of Heath Tarbert,who served as chairman since July 15,2019. Behnam was re-nominated by President Biden as a commissioner,and simultaneously nominated to chair the agency for a new 5-year term through June 19,2026. Behnam was unanimously confirmed by the Senate on December 15,2021,and sworn in as CFTC's chairman and chief administrative officer on January 4,2022.
