Harshani Shashikala Kumarasinghe (born 1984) is a Sri Lankan archer. She competed at the 2010 Asian Games in the archery event.
Shashikala Kumarasinghe also returned to represent the national archery team in an international competition after 7 years by participating in the 2016 South Asian Games. [1] [2]

Hettimulla Appuhamilage Shashikala Dedunu Siriwardene, known as Shashikala Siriwardene, is a Sri Lankan former cricketer who captained the Sri Lankan women's cricket team in WODIs. She is the only woman cricketer to take 100 wickets in WODIs for Sri Lanka, and the only female Sri Lankan to combine this with 1,000+ runs. She is also the all-time leading wicket taker for Sri Lanka in WT20I with 77 scalps. She played for Sri Lanka internationally in a career spanning 17 years, from 2003 to 2020.

The India – Sri Lanka HVDC Grid Interconnection is a proposed project to link the national grids of India and Sri Lanka. The project involves the construction of a high-voltage direct current (HDVC) connection between Madurai in southern India, and Anuradhapura in central Sri Lanka, through the Palk Strait. The link would measure 285 kilometres (177 mi) in length, including 50 kilometres (31 mi) of submarine cables, and would take more than three years to construct. It would be implemented by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and Ceylon Electricity Board.

She was awarded the Arjuna award, India's second highest sporting honor in 2017 becoming the youngest from South India to win the award.

Abeykoon Mudiyansalage Yupun Priyadarshana, known as Yupun Abeykoon, also referred to as Yupun Priyadarshana, is a Sri Lankan track and field athlete and a national record holder in men's 100m, men's 200m and in men's indoor 60m. On 3 July 2022, he became the first South Asian to break the 10-Second barrier for the men's 100 meters event at the Resisprint International competition, with a timing of 9.96 seconds, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. He currently resides in Italy as he went on a scholarship to Italy in 2015. He is also attached to the Electronic and Mechanical Engineering Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army and represents Army Sports Club. He is currently regarded as the fastest Sri Lankan man as well as fastest South Asian man in men's 100m and 200m disciplines.
Kotambewaththe Gedara Dilshi Maheesha Shyamali Kumarasingha also simply known as K. G. D. M. S. Kumarasinghe or Dilshi Kumarasinghe aka Shyamali Kumarasinghe is a Sri Lankan track and field athlete and a national record holder in women's 800m. She is currently coached by Susantha Fernando.
Kaushalya Madushani, also known as Kawshalya Madushani Edirippulilage or Kaushalya Madhushani, was a Sri Lankan track and field athlete who mainly competed in the hurdles event. She was a five-time national champion in the women's 400m hurdles. She was the defending national champion in women's 400m hurdles prior to her death when she defended her title successfully in 2022. She was attached to the Sri Lankan Army.

She is the first and only Sri Lankan female steeplechase runner ever in history to have completed running the 3000 meters steeplechase in less than under 10 minutes. She is the current national title holder in women's long jump in Sri Lanka and is also a current national record holder in the women's long jump with a career best leap of 6.65 meters.
