Shashlik is a Pakistani comedy-drama sitcom which was written by Sarmad Khoosat, directed by Jawad Bashir and Khoosat. It was aired on Pakistan Television Corporation from 2001 to 2002. The main cast includes Khoosat, Nadia Afgan, Mandana Zaidi and Nasreen Qureshi. [1] It was directorial as well as the acting debut of the Khoosat. [2]

The plot revolves around Cheeku who is not so manly, and his dynamics with her cousins who live in his house, Mishi, Munni, Kammo and Chunni. The sitcom also contains several situational songs. [3]

It also depicts his relationship with singer-actress Noor Jehan. The film was released on 11 September 2015, sixty years after Manto's death.

Mor Mahal is a 2016 Pakistani historical fiction television fantasy series based on life of Nawab Asif Jehan of Hakim dynasty created and directed by Sarmad Khoosat, produced by Babar Javed and was originally conceptualized by Imran Aslam in 2002 and written by Sarmad Sehbai in 2004. Mor Mahal is known as one of the biggest television projects in Asia. The serial stars Umair Jaswal, Meesha Shafi, Hina Khawaja Bayat, Sania Saeed and Fiza Ali in the lead roles. The cast also includes Shah Fahad, Jana Malik, Sonia Nazir, Kinza Hashmi and Ali Saleem. Umair Jaswal who played the role of a nawab alongside Meesha Shafi made his television debut.

Baaghi (Rebel) is a Pakistani television series premiered on Urdu 1 on July 27, 2017, and based on the life of the controversial Pakistani actress Qandeel Baloch who was murdered by her brother in the name of honor in July 2016. The screenplay of the drama has been done by Umera Ahmad. Saba Qamar plays the lead character of Fauzia/Qandeel in the series.

It premiered at the 24th Busan International Film Festival, and won awards at Busan and at the 2021 Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles. The film was set to be released in Pakistan cinemas on 18 March 2022, but was postponed indefinitely following widespread protests by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan.

<i>Kamli</i> (2022 film) 2022 Pakistani film

Kamli is a 2022 Pakistani drama film directed by Sarmad Khoosat, who also has produced it with Kanwal Khoosat under the banner Khoosat Films. The film is based on a short film by Mehar Bano, with additional story and dialogues by Khoosat himself. It stars Saba Qamar, Sania Saeed, Nimra Bucha and debutant Hamza Khawaja in lead roles. Kamli revolves around the intertwining stories of three women and their restrained desires. The film released theatrically on 3 June 2022 and opened to positive reviews from critics.

Adeel Afzal is a Pakistani actor, screenwriter and social media personality. Afzal used to make videos on social media and made his acting debut in 2018. He gained wider recognition with his portrayal of Ahmad Nasaaz in Hum TV's Parizaad for which he received Hum Award for Best Supporting Actor.
