Career

She's a Julie's first race was on May 26, 2017, at Churchill Downs, where she came in first.

Her next win did not come until June 2rd, 2018, when she won at Churchill Downs.

She then won the Iowa Oaks on July 5, 2018, and placed 2nd the month after in the 2018 Alabama Stakes. [1]

She started off the 2019 season by winning the Bayakoa Handicap and then on May 3, 2019, she captured the 2019 La Troienne Stakes. [2]

Churchill Downs is a horse racing complex located on Central Avenue in south Louisville, Kentucky, United States, famed for hosting the annual Kentucky Derby. It officially opened in 1875 and was named for Samuel Churchill, whose family was prominent in Kentucky for many years. A graded stakes race is a thoroughbred horse race in the United States that meets the criteria of the American Graded Stakes Committee of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA). A specific grade level is then assigned to the race, based on statistical analysis of the quality of the field in previous years, provided the race meets the minimum purse criteria for the grade in question. La Troienne (1926–1954) was one of the most famous and influential Thoroughbred broodmares in twentieth century America. In 2000, pedigree expert Janeen Oliver designated her as the taproot of family 1-x, a designation that was implemented by the Pedigree Online Thoroughbred Database in 2003. Judy the Beauty is a Canadian-bred, American-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. Bred by Adena Springs in Ontario, she has been owned and trained throughout her racing career by Wesley Ward who bought her for $20,000 as a yearling. As a juvenile, she won her first three races before finishing second in the Spinaway Stakes. In a brief three-year-old season she finished second in all three of her races. In 2013 she established herself as one of the best female sprinters in North America, winning the Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes and finishing second to Groupie Doll in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint.
