Shek Wu Hui is one of the 18 constituencies in the North District, Hong Kong.
The constituency returns one district councillor to the North District Council, with an election every four years. The seat was last held by Lam Cheuk-ting of the Democratic Party. It has been vacant since Lam's resignation.
Shek Wu Hui constituency is loosely based on Shek Wu Hui including Sheung Shui Centre, Sheung Shui Town Centre, Sunningdale Garden, Metropolis Plaza and Lung Fung Garden in Sheung Shui with estimated population of 19,841. [3]

Kwai Tsing is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It consists of two parts - Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi Island. Kwai Tsing is part of the New Territories. It had a population of 520,572 in 2016. The district has the third least educated residents and their income is below average.
North District is the northernmost district of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the northeastern part of the New Territories. The new town of Fanling–Sheung Shui is within this district. It had a population of 298,657 in 2001. The district has the second lowest population density in Hong Kong.
Sheung Shui is the penultimate northbound station on the East Rail line in Hong Kong. This station serves as the terminus of northbound trains after the Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau boundary crossings have closed for the day. It is also the last northbound station on the East Rail line that passengers without a Closed Area Permit, Mainland Travel Permit, or valid passport and mainland Chinese visa may freely travel to.

Sheung Shui Wai, also known as Sheung Shui Heung (上水鄉) is an area in Sheung Shui, in the northern part of the New Territories of Hong Kong. Its population is around 6,000 people.
Tai Po New Town, or Tai Po Town, is a new town and non-administrative area in Tai Po District, in the New Territories, Hong Kong. The area is a planned town that surrounding the existing indigenous market towns Tai Po Hui and Tai Po Kau Hui, as well as east of the existing indigenous villages that located on the Lam Tsuen Valley as well as west of those villages in Ting Kok and Tai Mei Tuk and south of those villages in Nam Hang, Fung Yuen and Sha Lo Tung. Most of the lands of the new town were obtained by land reclamation. In present day, Tai Po New Town was simply known as Tai Po. The new town are largely covered by the government Tai Po Outline Zoning Plan, which legally regulated the land use of the area, on top of the terms in the land lease contract with the government. Some of the land lease within the area, were known as Tai Po Town Lot № foo. In election, the town had a different zoning scheme for the election constituencies.
Landmark North is an office tower-and-shopping centre complex in Sheung Shui, Hong Kong. It was developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties and is located in the commercial centre of Sheung Shui.
Choi Yuen Estate is a public housing estate in Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong, near Landmark North and MTR Sheung Shui station. It is the first public housing estate in North District and consists of six residential buildings completed between 1981 and 1983.

Po Shek Wu Estate is a public housing estate located at the junction of Po Shek Wu Road and Choi Yuen Road in Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong near MTR Sheung Shui station. It comprises three residential blocks of 25, 29 and 33 storeys on a 3-storeyed carpark podium including one semi-basement storey for car park at a total number of 1,144 units completed in 2019. In addition, there is an ancillary facility block including socket-H pile foundation, superstructure and E&M services, one kindergarten, ground floor retail facilities and roof garden site formation and slope upgrading works.
