Shelby Allen Laxson Sr. (January 16,1913 - February 22,1982), [2] also known as Billy Laxson,was an American politician who served as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from 1966 to 1970.
Laxson was born on January 16,1913,to Walter Robert Laxson and Carrie Sewell in Huntsville,Alabama. He married Valerie Vernon on July 21,1934. They had 4 children together,one of them dying in 1964.
He died on February 22,1982,at the age of 69. [3]
In about 1957,he finished the unexpired term of Thomas Herman Vann for District 4.
He was elected for District 3 in 1966. Laxson served in Place 5 of the District. He only served one term.

U.S. Route 280 is a spur of U.S. Highway 80. It currently runs for 392 miles (631 km) from Blichton,Georgia at US 80 to Birmingham,Alabama at I-20/I-59. The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals is one of two appellate courts in the Alabama judicial system. The court was established in 1969 when what had been one unitary state Court of Appeals was broken into a criminal appeals court and a civil appeals court. The unitary Court of Appeals had been operative since 1911. The Court of Criminal Appeals is the linear descendant of the unitary Court of Appeals as its predecessor judges were automatically assigned to the Court of Criminal Appeals in 1969. At that time the court only had three judges,but that was changed to five in 1971. The court is housed in the Heflin-Torbert Judicial Building in downtown Montgomery,Alabama.
