Shelby Simmons (born February 6, 2002) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Ava King in Disney Channel's Bunk'd and Hillari Kimble in the Disney+ film Stargirl.

Early life

Simmons was born in Richmond, Virginia, on February 6, 2002. She began acting in school plays at a young age, including a middle-school production of Shrek, in which she played Princess Fiona. [1]

Career

Simmons was cast as Sydney Quinn in Netflix's The Prince of Peoria in April 2018. Her character is described as a straight-A with a wild side. [2]

Simmons was cast as Ava King in Bunk'd in March 2019 as a main character in seasons 4 and 5, with guest appearances in later seasons. [3] She reprised the role in Raven’s Home . [4]

She joined the cast of Stargirl in February 2020. She plays Hillari Kimble. [1]

Simmons was cast as Sophia in One Stupid Thing in December 2023, based on the book of the same name. [5]

Personal life

Simmons is an active pet owner, owning a dog and a white rabbit. She is also a Christian. [6]
