Shero (stylized in all uppercase) is a 2023 Singaporean action drama series starring Joanne Peh, Romeo Tan, Carrie Wong and Nick Teo. It follows the story of a woman who decides to join her missing sister's bodyguard company to search for her parents' murderer and to continue her sister's legacy. It began airing on Mediacorp Channel 8 from 12 June 2023. [3] [4]

Production

Principal photography began in December 2022. [1] The production crew of 27, which includes cast members Joanne Peh, Romeo Tan, Carrie Wong, Nick Teo and Tay Ying, travelled to Canberra, Australia for filming on 21 February 2023. [17] [9] [18] [19] Aileen Tan joined the cast in Canberra on 28 February 2023. [10] On 27 February 2023, scenes involving Joanne Peh and Romeo Tan were shot at Pialligo Estate. Local media in Canberra reported that the production crew spent 10 days, from 22 February to 4 March, filming at various locations in the capital city including the airport, Cockington Green and Jamala Wildlife Park. [2] [20] [21] Shero is also reportedly the largest overseas filming crew to ever shoot in Canberra. [4]

Juin Teh is a Malaysian host and actress. Teh began her career as an events host in Malaysia and took part in various television and radio stations' auditions before entering the 11th season of Mediacorp's Star Search competition in 2019, where she emerged as one of the top 12 finalists.

Seow Sin Nee is a Malaysian host, actress and radio DJ who made her debut through the Mediacorp radio DJ talent competition, The Sound Makers, in 2019. Seow later went on to win the Channel 8 talent search competition, Beyond The Camera. Since then, she has appeared as a host on various shows, including the bite-sized infotainment series #JustSwipeLah and The Sheng Siong Show. She has also been cast in a number of television series, including Your World in Mine (2022) and Fix My Life (2023), and is a member of the group "4567", created by Mediacorp's artiste management arm The Celebrity Agency, along with Jernelle Oh, Juin Teh and Gini Chang.

Ke Le, also known as Yang Guang Ke Le, is a Malaysian-Singaporean host, singer, actress and businesswoman. Born in Singapore, Lau grew up in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and started performing in the Johor Bahru getai industry at age 12. She was discovered by a Singaporean getai organiser to perform in Singapore in 2013. She entered the Singapore television scene in 2018 after finishing in the top five of the singing competition, GeTai Challenge. Since then, Lau has hosted programmes such as Curious City (2021) and appeared as a contestant on the reality show Streamers Go Live (2022). She has also starred in the Jack Neo film, Ah Girls Go Army, in 2022.

Deleted, titled Deleted: Akan Kujejak! in Malaysia, is a 2022 Singaporean-Malaysian action drama film directed by Ken Ng Lai Huat. Executive produced by Zheng Geping, the film follows Zhongyi, a former detective who sets about tracking down his kidnapped daughter and apprehend those responsible. The film stars Zheng, Tien Hsin, Rosyam Nor, Vincent Ng, Fattah Amin, Zhu Houren, Henley Hii, Malaysian mixed martial arts fighter Peter Davis, British boxer Brie Benfell, Malaysian-Brazilian fighter Marcio Sebsam and Jack Neo. It was released in Malaysia on 15 September 2022, and in Singapore on 3 November 2022.

I Do, Do I? was a Singaporean television series starring Felicia Chin, Jason Godfrey, Cynthia Koh, Ferlyn Wong, Tyler Ten, Zong Zijie and Thai actress Panitsara Yang. Revolving around three interrracial couples, the series marks Chin's first leading role in a Channel 8 drama series since leaving Mediacorp in June 2022. The series debuted on meWATCH on 18 December 2023 and aired on Channel 8 every weekdays at 9 pm local time.

Liu Lingling is a Singaporean host and singer who has been active in the getai scene for more than five decades. As an actress, she has appeared in multiple Mediacorp drama series and local films.
