Sherrie Patrice Marshall [1] (born August 3,1953) is an American attorney who served as a Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission from 1989 to 1993. [2] [3] A member of the Republican Party, [4] Marshall was formerly an attorney at Wiley,Rein,&Felding,and served under President Ronald Reagan as assistant White House Counsel. [5]

The United States Sentencing Commission is an independent agency of the judicial branch of the U.S. federal government. It is responsible for articulating the U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines for the federal courts.
