Chowdhury Mazhar Ali (born: 7 August 1970; Popularly known as Shiba Shanu) [1] [2] [3] is a Bangladeshi actor. He is mostly known for his villain role in Cinema of Bangladesh. In 1998, He started his film career as an actor with the film Matrivumi. Career

In 1998, Shanu made his debut in the film industry with the film Matribhoomi. In 2023, he played as Shakib Khan's elder brother with a cameo appearance in Himel Ashraf's tragic romance Priyotoma , which became the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of all-time.

It stars Shakib Khan, Srabanti Chatterjee, Rahul Dev and Sabyasachi Chakrabarty in pivotal roles and centers around Khan, a disguised professional assassin with a mysterious past, tasked with assassinating a top government official. The film also features Amit Hasan, Kharaj Mukherjee, and Shupriyo Dutta in supporting roles. The soundtrack album and background score of the film have been composed by Indraadip Dasgupta.

Kamal Mohammad Kibria Lipu, Ashok Dhanuka and Himanshu Dhanuka produced the film under the banners of Action Cut Entertainment, Kibria Films, Eskay Movies and One World Movies. The film features Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan in the lead roles. It is the first Bengali-language film set for a pan-Indian release.
